yeah, move to somewhere thats not a major city, rents too high and theres foreigners everywhere so you won't be able to get exoticism points for being in a major city. go to adelaide or darwin, they have really cheap rent and foreigners dont live there so you can both get a sense for australian culture and be an exotic subject to the locals.

Move to one of the flyover states and learn a discipline, once you have said discipline move to the coast. The flyover states such as kansas are dirt cheap living outside of the few big cities and a great starting place, beyond that within 5 years you can obtain a decent career pulling in 40-50k and then just move up the ladder. Also purchase property asap, renting is worthless, however you can always rent out your properties whenever you move and or sell them

OP here, grew up in the middle of nowhere, still living in a shit city at a job I hate. Australian house prices are also extortionate even though I live in arguably the best state to buy property. I spent a month traveling around the states last year and it really just appealed to me. Spent 3 months in Europe as well and I didn't get the same vibe anywhere.
