yes.
i think one component of feeling cozy simply is bitterweet. but dont let it fool you. humans like emotions even more than they like positive emotions.

if you get used to the downside, turn your apartment upside down, bring in some light, bring in some change, reserve some space to think about some of the little plans you delayed for way too long. you should totally start changing things if you get too used to being down. regain balance, stand on one leg, smile at a random stranger in the train, leave a dollar in front on your way and never think about who picks it up. get chinese takeout, or whatever takeout you havent had in a while. being down sometimes is only hardens our shell, being down for too long makes it tear. getting comfortable is also getting to know yourself a little bit better and watching yourself on whether you are okay with how things are going right now and if the all too well known fear of changing things has woven a golden cage around you.

i think so.
they have these trains in siberia and some parts of china. those trains keep going *forever* (moscow yaroslavsky terminal 9000km all the way west to wladivostok, thats like a week), if you have the money, you want to rent out one of those luxurious compartments. its sort of like a cruise ship, but less things to do and much colder outside. nowadays flying is cheaper, but its a interesting & cozy - and with the right people - memorable experience nevertheless.

Thank you very much, anons. I'm working on trying to escape the sadness, it's been kinda working - I'm certainly better now than I was a couple of years ago. It just hasn't faded completely and I doubt it's ever going to. I've accepted that, and that it's going to come around sometimes. So now I'll focus on smaller things. Littler, and infinitely more manageable things. Reflect on myself for a while. Hopefully I'll see myself improving before too long.
