maybe. I believe most depressions can be cured or treated with a change in lifestyle. there's usually a reason the person is depressed, not always. sometimes it is an irreversible chemical issue, but I don't believe this is the case with most people. the brain is very plastic. it can change. it can rewire itself, and compensate for problems in the brain. with enough positive reinforcement, physical activity and less time to ruminate, I think most people can come out of a depression. I believe counseling to be a better solution, and should always be tried first.
