Generally weed doesn't go bad, if it was dried properly. After longer periods of time (well more than a year) the chlorophyll gets broken down to the point of the bud turning brown. Only effect of this is the smoke being less harsh. THC stays, if not exposed to direct sunlight the entire time.

I'm currently reading into what lead up the the Enlightenment and history on the French revolution. I'm about midway through Hobbes' Leviathan , then after that I'm going to read through both Burke's and De Maistre's Reflections on France.
