I lied about my medical history, everything. And there was lots of stuff. I was homeschooled for about a year due to my anxiety etc. I could not disclose my homeschooling because they likely call the schools, and they'll see the school I went to was for kids with mental issues. I wanted to be a vet at first, then an engineer, then a doctor. I did manage to get a degree in aerospace engineer and I went to med school and became a doctor, but I hate my job. The only thing I have ever done where I was happy was a brief period in my life where I was a pilot. Now with all the med school debt stuck working a job I hate I fucked up beyond repair and will be enslaved in this misery for the next 30+ years or until I build up the courage to take my own life. I regret so many things and all the missed connections and adventures I could have went on. To those of you who are young enough to have some control over the direction your life is headed I can say that school is a waste of time most of the time and there is a cost to happiness. You can schoose a job that makes lots of money but if you spend your time working 80 hours a week in something you are miserable with and losing friends/relationships/family over it just for a large paycheck think about how much your happiness is worth. If it wasn't too late for me I would go back and take a job making 40-50k a year that has normal hours that I could tolerate rather than one that makes a six figure salary but is grueling and miserable.

Well, I didn't quite mean "useful" in that sense. I meant useful as in being able to do anything for anyone. I can do basic IT support stuff, self taught mostly, but that's it. I haven't studied any advanced IT stuff and that's what matters here, the school. There are tons and tons of IT graduates around here so why the fuck would anyone hire me instead of them? There is no reason for anybody to hire me.

I would have fucking excelled in those early 2000 PC repair shops but those don't exist anymore. At least not here. And if they do, they are super advanced stores where people basically solder together space rockets.

I can't imagine myself having a job in the future because there is always someone who can do the same job better than me. And I don't even want to do any job if I'm not good at it.
