I think a good idea is probably to pick your favourite stuff and start building up folders of only that. Once you think you have enough just delete the rest of the stuff without looking at it. At least that way you've still got something.

Back in the early 00's I had 3TB of hard drives (when 100-200GB HDDs were considered fairly sizeable) just slam full of porn--meticulously organized and maintained, despite never ever actually watching any of it. After a couple of big life events, I realized it was a bit of OCD and turned my focus towards more productive hobbies. No regrets.

You have to channel your energy into something more productive. I know it sounds cliche, but it's true--you're just burning mental energy on something that you're not even getting any joy out of. It required total loss of my collection and a super-uptight girlfriend who hated porn that I upended my life for. Later on, GF turned out to be a crazy bitch, so I had to start a lot of stuff all over again, including the collection. So yeah, wasn't easy for me. Having to start all over again wasn't appealing to me and I really finally felt that feeling of "what's the point?" So I stopped, unless it's something that I absolutely will watch and enjoy. I go through and cull things occasionally as well to prevent myself from hoarding again.

Back when people still posted passwords/accounts for sites like brazzers, bangbros, and shit like that, I used to compulsively download every video I found the least bit appealing over the course of days or until the account got suspended.

I'd start from the tags/categories I prefered and work my way down before the account got banned. I would fill my hard drives just because it was 'free'. Idk I only felt like I NEEDED to do it when it was from professional sites, even though those sites blow because it is all the same guy, same scene, same cookie cutter script, just different girl each time.

Don't get me wrong, if I could download scenes from tube sites for free I would, cause some real gold from the past shows up sometimes. But I am not compelled to do so like when some one drops the keys to an account.
