they're both seated correctly, iv'e used compressed air to blow out the ports.

If the speed on the ram is too fast or not compatible with the motherboard, it could be downscaling it, forcing 1 channel mode. What speed ram / motherboard are you running?

Try each stick one stick at a time in the same slot. You may just have a faulty ram stick, or a faulty slot...

If that doesn't work try the other slots (from A1 to B1, A2 to B2) then repeat the step above. Otherwise you're shooting in the dark.

Try booting off each stick using slot 1.

Insert RAM.
Get paperclip.
Start computer.
Run paperclip along pins of the RAM.

Boot with one stick at a time

Get the cheapest dual channel RAM sticks you can find and try them. If they work then you know something happened with your RAM. Or go ask a PC repair place if you can try it in one of theirs.

If you screwed with your cpu cooler before it went from dual one corner is too tight.
