There is actually a lot of good advice in this thread. I had a lot of friends in elementry school and was really normal. I lost them all when i went into middle school because i didnt dress or act like them anymore. I started looking for validation and clinging to anyone who was just nice to me. This made me the weird kid.
I no longer give a shit what anyone really thinks about me anymore because i know i have value. When i went into my first year of college (this past year) i found that i made a lot of friends because they found my interests neat even if they were not normie teir (chess, writing folk music, marching band). Get into self development, start learning about psychology and what makes you attractive, liked by others, etc. Then work on becoming that, not to impress others but to become the best version of yourself. Do it for yourself.
