I like pickup trucks a lot better than i do cars.
Not really big ones, not compensator sized pickups. But I like the feeling of being above everyone, being able to see everything, and the vibrations of the engine in the steering wheel and the floor. It might not ever be able to race, but I'd take my truck over a new sports car any day.

daughter lives with her mom, ~6 miles from UNI, and I had to provide affordable car that I could pay cash, and that wouldnt be ghetto (looks better than pic in real life), and Mom could still use. They sell this car with a manual transmission too, but I had to think of the girls viewpoint.

In the rest of the world, Europe and Canada and Austrailia, its the top of the line small Opel sports sedan. In the UK its a Vauxhall. Not too flashy, but definitely not an "American" car, just a rebranded car sold under the Buick name, becuase GM is the parent company internationally, and this is their "world car".

I would not be too embarrassed to drive this (i drive and Audi TT), it actually handles and accelerates like the A4 I test drove, ftw.

I'm a little concerned about honda turning to turbochargers. I mean I guess its honda, so they are good engineers of course.

its just their high revving VTEC's were cool. drive it like an old lady, get really decent mileage. drive it at high revs, and it just chugs along briskly.

turbos arent really needed anymore, normally aspirated technology is solid. I think they do it because in the rest of the world, the bigger the cc's, the higher the taxes on the car. turbos do not do better emissions, and I fucking hate turbo lag. turbos make torque steer even worse.

Now I don't like to shit on cars, fuck, I love cars, but you have to be realistic. The only decent Abarth was the Stilo, the 2.4... but still that engine was a complete waste of power. Also, even that car had engineering problems with the ECU unit...

Why Fiat is shitty, after owning Fiat for 11 years? Well they:

For the average person who simply needs a car for transportation a 4 banger is perfectly sufficient. 100-150 hp is all anyone really needs to move from point A to point B. And Japan makes 4 bangers that will outlast any V8 made in America.
