Not going to lie, that movie wasn't that scary. It wasnt bad, but it wasn't great.

That kid, for real, needed to die. Hard.

ESPECIALLY for the dildo scene. And... every other scene he's in.

It could have been a million times better, but it just sort of... fell flat after a bit.

It was comical after awhile.

the kid was only the link between the mom and the babadook, which is the representation of the past
she is fighting the past, her past, the death of her houseband
the kid reminds her of her houseband so she has to kill it in order to ged rid of the babadook, that's why the babadook ask her for the child
then she can finally cope with it
if the movie was japanese, I'm sure everyone would end dead

Oh no, I very much got it.

I just really disliked it. The kid reminded me of the boy from "The Road" and... that alone left a poor taste in my mouth.

Honestly, if it HAD been Japanese, I might have liked it better... they just do suspense horror better than anyone.
