Auto updating at any time, regardless if you were working on something or the system was idle.

Forcing Microsoft device drivers over drivers from any other brand you had installed with every update.

Network file sharing issues with systems that did not had win 10.

Now most of these issues have a workaround, but they were a real bother at the start.

My computer refuses to operate for more than 6 minutes when installing Windows 10. I was almost unable to roll back my operating system because it would constantly crash from using too much memory.Tried everything and couldn't fix it, but my computer simply wouldn't run long enough to even attempt most of the methods suggested lol. Been using windows 8 on my machine for 2 years and don't plan to update any time soon.

I believe it's mainly just graphics drivers, I can't stay on my current nvidia driver version without blacklisting updates for it via group policy, upon rebooting I noticed a failed update for NVIDIA Display Driver (which means the blacklist worked) and then another a month later. I've never had the problem with stuff like audio drivers.

what if there are no microshaft drivers for something? I run a small recoridng studio and obviously use drivers supplied with outboard gear. Will they get replaced every update? because that's a fucking ballache.

Basically they force merged the "recommended updates" section with regular windows update that used to be separated, so any driver that has an update on Windows update is at risk of that driver being replaced any time a new update is found. I'm not sure if it specifically uses Micropenis drivers or it pulls a manufacturer driver from their repos. Never really looked, but nevertheless I blacklisted any drivers I wanted to keep at a specific version

Windows 10 really isn't that bad. Been using it for a month and a half. Really, the only bad part is just the change.

Used Windows 7 since release before that. Vista a few months before that, which wasn't as bad to me as everyone said it was. Then Windows XP since release before that. Then 98, 95 etc.

XP and 7 are tied for my favorite out of all of them, then 10. XP was like the ultimate form of Windows before they just completely changed the fuck out of everything with the jump to Vista and so on.

There was nothing wrong with 8.1. 8.0 was indeed shit, but 8.1 came in and fixed most of the issues people complained about. If it didn't have the sidebar metro for networking (that part you can't remove, you can obviously get rid of the start screen), it'd just be a perfected 7 imo.
