Something like Game Dev Tycoon, except more in depth. You can actually market the game and create posters and flyers for it and such. When you create the gamesame you can really tweak what's going into it besides just the three categories in the game currently. You can design your own hardware down to the look and controllers. Also, do deals between companies to really ride the gravy train. Just basically what I imagined Game Dev Tycoon to be when it went early access.

Don't put weapons on a kids game poster or in the game itself, don't advertise something your game doesn't have. Like if you create a racing game and you do not give it steering peripheral support, and you put that it does on the box, ratings go down. Stuff like that. My idea was, let the computer generate a map, for the players to traverse in a dark souls styled rpg. With bland normal enemies filling hallways. Enter special rooms for the DM computer to roll a dice. What number decides what that room is whether it's traps or a boss or treasure. And just have campaigns for players.

It would have to be PC only I think until consoles get a bit stronger unless we went with 2009 graphics(still not horrible). I'd allow base classes with skill trees to unlock skills to use. I'd take the dice from the player mostly. Allowing for it for luck in certain situations.

The story for this deserves to epic. It needs to involve ancient conspiracies, probably aliens too. yeah for multiplayer I'm thinking Zero g racing, Necromunda style gang warfare, the free roaming thing they had. I would love to see a multiplayer economy where people actually had ways to impact the money like the production of enhancement drugs or guns and things. Have everyone start at the bottom and make the slog to the top fucking epic, so those with penthouses at the top peaks are actually virtual in game gods.

what you're suggesting is possible in a limited sense with some planning, but games rely on different libraries for rendering 3d content, and different's file formats for loading them. Some of these aren't even compatible on the same OS, so total or even near total compatibility is impossible.

Mine would kind of be a sequel to Star Wars: Republic Commando. You'd be an elite commando in Vader's 501st, leading a team of three other specialist troopers. Not really sure what the whole plot would be, but probably hunting down some Rebel leaders, maybe a Jedi Padawan that escaped Order 66 (as a boss fight). The controls and gameplay mechanics would be pretty similar (if not identical) to Republic Commando, because that game got is right.

Giant ass gate. Miles long and tall. No one can get through it but a kingdom surrounds it because land is fertile and shit. Sort of Civ meets SimCity/CitiesXL.

Large procedurally generated landscape, hills, rivers, coast. Start off in a small village in 4000BC, can slowly expand, build stone circles, roundhouses, temples, quarry flint/copper/etc. build an oracle, create an ampitheatre, an acropolis, migrate your city centre to a nearby hilltop with a castle, make city walls, form guilds, create a market plaza, make fortified towers, factories, universities, research labs, etc, etc.

have trade and infrastructure to other cities in your empire, and to enemies, who end up in conflict.

many years ago, I did a proposal to a company I worked for, (mostly for fun, it was way too ambitious) for a persistent-world, semi mmo (each server shard being a few hundred at most) with a similar style.

only set in 1969, in an accurate recreation of San Francisco, where one batch of bad acid had turned the hippes into contagious zombies.

the entire pitch was the idea of building forts and safehouses to survive, and driving in a '67 Hemi, vaulting down the streets of SF like something out of "Bullitt", while your wingman picks off kaftan-wearing hippy zombies with a Remington shotgun in gory technicolor.

I wanted it to be called "the summer of love"...

You can use your Fingering +3 skill to defeat that promiscuous shy girl on the library level, or use your +penis size attribute for the nightclub gloryhole bossfight.
