I know that being psychologically weak and abusing alcohol to either numb the pain or feel good is what will cause the addiction. But I have gone out and drank a few beers. Was drinking Everyday for a little over a year (a pint of whiskey and 2 40oz beers or a 1/5th of whiskey everyday)
Was spending $15-22 a day atleast (sometime a half gallon for $40 of Jack daniels)
Decided to quit as it was costing too much
Got a 1/5th and decided to drink it all as a last go till i was 21
Quit cold turkey on feb.19th
On feb 21st i ended up having alcohol withdrawls i didn't think i could get that where bad enough to give me symptoms including:

drastically increased heart rate, whole body tremors, cold sweats, warming in body specifically in the face, throabing headaches, physical pain throut my whole body, dehydration, minor hallucinations that wasn't really bad compaired to some, almost like LSD/sharpend eyesight, blurry vision, delerus, horrible stomach issues that kept me from holding down solid food, SEVERE depression (almost suicidal), and DT's and 1 fucking seizure.
All because of quiting cold turkey after a little over a year of drinking alcohol.
Ended up having hypoglycemia because of my withdrawls, now i can't eat carbs for shit and i have to complete avoid suger, doctor says it could last years.

The real kicker is that i can't smoke my own bud i grow, turns out weed produces insulin and my body is in a form of insulin shock and it produces too much too often.
Fuck alcohol, 3 months clean and i wish i stopped drinking before it was too late.

I limit myself. Last time I got drunk I almost killed 2 people. So I don't get drunk anymore unless there are people there who can physically restrain me.

The smell of alcohol sickens me. It stinks horribly. I can also taste pretty much anything that I smell, so I know what things are going to taste like just from the smell. No thanks.

Just an FYI smoking cigarettes is worse for both your health and the smell alone. I have smoked and like Cigars on the occasion but cigarette smoke causes LITERAL cancer.
