Got a genuine question OP. Long story short I lived in Isla Vista when Elliot Rogers killed 6 people but I saw someone shot in the head but receiving chest compressions. Is there really any point when someone is shot in the head?

No, my regional protocol it is provider discretion to work a trauma code. You have around a 1% or less chance of reviving a traumatic caused cardiac arrest anyways. Their protocol probably required them to work it.

To actually answer the most fucked up thing I saw that night. It wasn't the dead guy, the blood, the frantic paramedics, It was this guys friend standing over him watching the paramedics doing chest compressions. He was white as a ghost and in complete shock. When the paramedics stood up and pronounced him dead the kid broke down. He just saw his buddy pass away doing the same thing he was trying to do, just buy a fucking sandwich. Will never forget that night as long as I live. 5-23-14 RIP my IV homies you were taken away too soon.

Yup. Graduation at UCSB was like 3 weeks after that. Fucking heartbreaking. What was also terrible was all the news vans and cameras everywhere.
