I don't know your circumstance, but if it's possible for you to confide in somebody about this, that might do you good. Sometimes we really jsut need to talk it out to begin to feel like we can be happy with ourselves. not trying to be too repetitive here, but it really is a big step in the right direction.
You could also try spending that time you'd normally spend on drinking on another more structured hobby. Especially things that require you to get out of the house in non-bar settings. Mountain climbing, any sport or competitive game and exercise are all things you could try.
idk what would work best for you, but give these two things a try and keep on reaffirming the idea that you CAN change and that you WILL be a little better tomorrow than you are today and there's a good chance you can climb out of that hole before it's too late.

I've met children that lived under similar circumstances. Again, there is a difference between bathing a person and taking advantage of their ignorance. No child needs an adult to bathe them after they're old enough to turn the shower on and reach the soap/use it. If you think a five year old can't be taught this, you're delusional. When children have interactions like this it often seethes beneath the surface for only so long before they burst. And when that happens, it opens one hell of a can of worms for the family to clean up. That's IF the parent in question doesn't serve time for their selfish actions.
