The point I'm trying to make is it feels like life so far has been go to school, get bullshit degree, then go into network security, get certs, abuse adderall to try and further myself and lie/cheat/bullshit my way to a higher status and better job so that I can make more money. But for what? I buy more shit and then due to contracting and sometimes biting off more than I can chew and sucking ass in higher level technical interviews; i go without work for 3-4 months at a time and panic like hell when the funds start to dry up and feel the repo man coming to get me, defaulting on credit cards etc. But I always seem to just barely get by and secure a new contract and its made me go "is this how life is going to be?"
To be honest OP, I'm 2 days into this new contract, but the stress has got me fuckin exhausted.
So far my life has been motivated by money and checking off things a list I've always wanted to buy and enjoy with little thought of what happens in 6 months. This can't be what life is.
