They didn't evolve to do so, for men its a evolutionary advantage whereas one maybe lacking in physical attributes or wealth, theres always humor to attract a female.

That being said not all women are unfunny, its just that many have shit material to start with, or have a very narrow view of things that would otherwise allow a comic to come up with original material.

Some can be. Amy Shmeckle is an example of a woman trying to hard (and also stealing jokes). Humor goes beyond "Look! I have a pussy! I'm a disgusting whore! Isn't it funny cause these aren't appropriate conversation topics in daily life???!!!!".

It's really simple, Anon. Women aren't funny because they aren't honest about themselves or what they really think of other people, especially other women. To be funny, you have to have a sense of humor about yourself and the fact of the matter is that most women don't. I'm not talking about "oh I'm fat" or "God I'm such a bitch" type comments that are made for purposes of eliciting a compliment from someone. I'm talking about brutal honest and self-criticism of oneself. Self-deprecation and awareness is an essential element of a good comedian and most woman just don't have these abilities.

this but adding to this alot of comedy is built on horrible things like depression, pure self hatred, rampant disregard for the way society sees you. All women strive to be beautiful. I don't care what you say, and if they aren't they are either mentally ill or are actively doing the opposite. At its core comedy being able to say you'd suck a dick for 2 bucks and a cigarette then in the very next sentence say something that resonates with people. Comedy is dominated by men because its mostly liked by men. No man wants to hear about a women's "problems", up until recently women weren't even equals.

I'd still lick Amy Schumer's taint, but it'd have to be fresh out of the shower.

The true fact of the matter is that the majority of comedy is done by men, it's traditionally been a male-dominated industry, and so when people think of "good comedy" they think of one specific style of comedy which is very masculine-oriented. But there's a lot of different styles of comedy, and there's so many different ways to be funny. There are great female comedians, I know many of them personally, and in a lot of cases they do a different style of comedy than the old heavyweights. That can be a strongpoint when 90% of the rest of the room is doing things more or less the same way, or coming at things from a similar perspective. Imagine a great impressionistic painter getting a D on an art-class assignment because they're no good at photorealism.

For the record, I've never liked Schumer's standup, though her show was pretty damn good, although that's not necessarily any comment on her own ability. But also, standup isn't the only measure of a funny person.
