If you are using an electrical water heater, let it boil and then let it stand until you can't hear the water bubbling anymore. At that point you are pretty close to the 92 degrees mark.
Your grinder should work fine, personally I have one where I can set the grinding setting to get courser or finer coffee depending on how I'm breweing. But experiment on how ground you like you coffee to your taste.
