Idk. I didn't think it changed me that much. My skin got softer, I had thicker hair on my head and less on my body, very tiny boobs (super underweight so not much fat to build them with), and maybe a slightly different looking face. I really didn't think it was that noticable, but then a friend I hadn't seen in a year or two told me I looked way different and not much later mentioned something about the place he'd been traveling in having SRS built in to their insurance. Hormones made me feel better, honestly. The constant anxiety of aging as a guy, possible baldness, further masculinization, etc. was gone, and that alone was a huge positive. I ordered from a website called InHousePharmacy. I know they ship to the USA, dunno about where else they ship to. I know there's qhi you could try as well. I was taking 200mg of Spironolactone and 4mg of Estradiol daily. That's about the 'standard' self med dose I see on /lgbt/. They'll have more info for you than I do, and theirs is probably more accurate as well.

If you end up taking Spiro, most people tend to start with smaller doses and work up to the 200mg in case of allergies. It's a diuretic too, so you'll wanna drink some more water than usual. It's also potassium sparing, but as long as you don't eat ludicrous amounts of bananas/spinach/whatever, I think you'll be okay. I ate bananas and spinach and stuff whenever I wanted to and didn't run into any problems, but that's just me. Also, Estradiol I think puts you at a slightly higher risk of blood clots in your legs, so you might wanna exercise if you don't already.


Something to look for on /lgbt/ would be Cyproterone. I've seen a lot of people saying it's better than Spiro for various reasons, so it's worth looking into. Honestly, you should ask the trans help general thread they have up on that board, and there might still be the self medding general as well. I really didn't look into this stuff much more than what to get and where to get it from because I don't really give a shit about my health.

Yeah no problem. I think I started Spiro a month before starting on E, ramping Spiro up from 50mg a day to 100 to 150 to 200, and when starting 200mg was when I started E. There might have been a week on 200mg before adding in E though. I can't remember. As for price, I don't really know for sure. Ballpark, maybe 70 or so US dollars monthly? I mostly bought 48 days worth at a time (basically 100 100mg Spiro tablets and 84 2mg E tablets), and that cost me probably about $120 per order. You could get them much cheaper where I live, but I didn't give a shit about the price since I'm still living at home and barely have other expenses. I just remembered though, what you should do when you're ramping up your Spiro dose is just order the 100mg tablets and cut them into fourths. It's cheaper that way than buying the 25mg tablets and cutting won't change the effectiveness of the Spiro so long as you have a sharp knife and don't end up mashing the things into dust (they're kinda chalky).
