What the hell are you talking about? The 125mm gun on the Armata is no more powerful than the 120mm on the M-1. It has an autoloader that is theoretically fast, but they have NEVER been reliable. Our APFSDS rounds are much more effective, our sensors are better, our communications are more advanced, and we have better fire control systems. An Armata would be overmatched by an M-1.

If you're going mechanic, I suggest picking 15T as your MOS.

You get to repair UH-60 (blackhawks) and even fly in them. You can also become crewchief of the chopper.

Besides combat engineer, that was actually my third choice.

As for getting deployed? That's just up to you. I'm not gunna say that's it'll be safe, cause it won't be. However, it's a fulfilling job.

in 2002 the armor school, which is where all 19 Series MOS training is done was not at FT Benning, It was at FT Knox.

FT Knox was the home of armor until 2010 when TRADOC moved the armor school to Benning so that all combat arms training would be conducted at the same post.
