Backpage had their escort area removed. The new "escort area" is their dating area. All the same posts the escort area had.
There's also another site, liveescortreviews, that has all of backpages posts, but gives you details about them. If they're using fake pictures, how many times they've posted, if they use a lot of different phone numbers, etc. Just select "Filter out fakes"

As for if it's a sting or not, use common sense. Even if it doesn't come up as fake, it's always a good idea to reverse image their pictures, sometimes you find something saying "THIS IS A STING OPERATION" even if those are fake, it's best to avoid.

c.list isn't horrible either. Again, it's about using common sense. If they look too good to be true, they probably are. If they redirect you to different emails, don't bother.

You can see in the other tab I googled a number. So just middle click with your mouse every ad that looks even close to legit and it will open them up in all new tabs, then highlight the phone numbers and right click and open in new tab and see if there is old ads listed
