Everything is going web based, and I mean everything. Computers in the extremely near future will be nothing more than dumb terminals that connect to cloud services. Go watch a video of one of Google's data centers, they are fucking fortresses with every type of redudency imaginable. Even a facility getting hot with a meteorite wouldn't cause an outage. No regular company can even begin to compete.

All that networking knowledge is going to be completely useless unless you are one of the few lucky enough to get a job at one of these windowless, soul deadening data centers.

Printers, phones, scanners, and everything else will be plug and play cloud ready. Corporate networks will be wireless access points connected to routers with access to 4 or 5 cloud services and with all the data ever only in the cloud, you'll have to hack Google itself and they'll send one of thier Boston Dynamics terminators to kill you.

As for Internet, my company pays the $80/month for my 1Gbps line.
