Saved up and bought my first backhoe then started renting equipment. eventually got to where I'm 34 and own my own mid size construction company here in New Mexico, I have a nice house, 1 kid, a new truck, a boat, and am looking at buying an asphalt plant.

Life will work out, just work hard and don't overlook the manual jobs. Someone's gotta do them and no one wants to, there is high demand.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume that you have no idea what you want to do, because the concept of "college" is off the table. The problem is that now you have to fucking work. So, I am going to give you some great ideas for what to do:

You are not going to be cut out for education based occupations. So, you can go the stupid route to success, and work at a random fast food joint for 10 years until you make it to manager and work your way up the ladder that way. This is a fuck load of work, long hours, and not all that great pay for the work done. I wouldn't suggest this. What you should do is learn a fucking trade. SKILLS, BITCH, NOT EDUCATION. One of the best ones to learn is welding. You should fucking learn welding. YES CUNT STAIN, WELDING. Why welding? Because it is the smart path. First of all, average welder pay is $19.70/hr. Holy fucksticks batman, people getting out of college in 4 years would suck all the cocks just to get a job that pays like that. Secondly, it is a skill that is transferable. You don't gotta stop at a stupid welder in bumfuck wherever you are, you can use the welding skill to help you learn new skills and vocations, like: Auto Body Repair ($21.44/hr), HVAC Tech ($22.78/hr), Commercial Diver which is welding under fucking water ($26.27/hr), Wind Turbine Technician ($25.50/hr) along with others.

There is no point for you to go to college. Skills will get you farther.

My mother made me pass an official IQ test with a psychiatrist and my score was under the "normal" range in Canada. Not even below average... but literally under the "below average" range.

My parents thought I was just slow because of laziness and lack of motivation... but once theh saw the official papers, my mom bursted crying.

I personally wasn't surprised, because I always had difficulty learning stuff right away. I always had to think about things for some time, then I'd be like "oh, I get it now". I also never understood some jokes on the spot, but had to think about them in the bus, to finally understand them a few days after.

Despite that, I always tried hard and studied a lot, because my parents wanted me and my brother to get high education and good jobs. Btw, my brother studied in one of the top Canadian universities, which was ranked in the top 20 of the world a few years back... From what the lady explained to me, you have different ranges of IQ. I'll give you some numbers, as an example, but they are random.

0-70 ---> retarded
70-120 ---> normal
120-170 ---> superior

So, if you're in the normal category, you can be below average (closer to 70) or above average (closer to 120). If you're below average, you're still considered normal, but a little slow. When I was tested, I ended up in the first "retard" category.

Currently I'm living alone, off savings I made while I worked in a glue factory. I don't plan to work ever again, and I will just kill myself when I reach zero in my account.
