Im too lazy to post sites.. Just google "ice core samples showing co2 and temperature" and see for yourself... And the rate temperarures are rising, is kinda slow.. And your source says its bigly extreme.. Your source says its been an extreeme rise since the 1950s.. Its convienint they exclude the mini ice age after ww2.. Then they say the ocean has risen 1 foot in 100 years. How did they measure oceans before satellites? Watch the documentary "great global warming swindle" on youtube.. Have you ever even researched the opposing side? But i bet you dismiss the people who did.. Maybe you were taught that, because its an obvious lie? Global warming is real.. If there is climate change, its extremely exagerated..

Since Obama came to power, he destroyed NASA's programme for exploring space, going back to the moon and made NASA to be another agency for international communication and this is well documented. NASA being a government-funded agency doesn't make it reliable. Everything government run is a disaster. Start from schools, everyone wants to go to a private school, ever wonder why? What is a synonym for a community college? I am sure you can connect the dots.

But India and China recognise the threat and want to do something about it, USA under Trump wants to accelerate fossil fuel use.

Look at his promises to coal miners.

I come from a coal mining community in the UK and hate Thatcher for what she did to us, but coal is unsustainable and if widely used will lead to irreversible damage to the climate.

Listen up all you faggots cause im about to prove climate change isn't caused by humans.

Pic related, its Coruscant. A planet entirely consumed by buildings and people. There's no natural vegetation left on the planet. Has a population of about 2 trillion. Is everyone on Coruscant dead from climate change? No faggots, they are all happy af flying their gas guzzling cars, and living without a single tree.

Liberal faggots will deny this is real, but in the back of their minds they'll know. Just try to prove me wrong faggots. Inb4 Coruscant is a planet in a fictional story made up by some neckbeard.

look at how much China is investing in renewables!

Chinese cities are very polluted, yes, but their leaders recognise this as a problem and are seeking to solve this in the future.

Trump has literally said he wants more "clean coal" which cannot actually exist.

Climate change: China vows to defend Paris agreement

The USA is literally the only country in the world now whose leadership deny the biggest threat to humanities future.

Trump used to claim it was a "hoax invented by China" for fuck's sake.

not true actually. we just need to cut emissions and focus on forms of carbon capture.

If we can store large amounts of it in solid form we can reduce what's in the atmosphere.

One of the best methods of this would be farming massive amounts of shellfish and then storing their shells somewhere that the wouldn't break down quickly, like a desert.
>>
>>732288600

He probably meant all human life. Thermophiles can live in 122 degrees. A few thousand years after humans are gone the carbon will settle back down again.

China currently investing 1.2 trillion in Solar tech R&D. They're going to be off fossil fuels before we are.

Actually we'll be buying out panels from them in 5-10 years because they'll have better tech from the R&D. China will soon be a world leader in energy tech.
>>
I'm sure the change in climate will be slow enough that when it starts happening more prominently we will change course. Also, we can focus on carbon capture and not emissions.
>>
>>732295584

Coruscant was chosen to be a city planet because it was lifeless. Fusion powered terraforming machines keep the atmosphere in balance.

>>
>>732288180
Relax.

We burn fossil fuels because theyre abundant, cheap, and have excellent cost vs. Efficiency.

Not having the cheapest/best energy source is political suicide on the international stage because balance of power.

The US can defund and not participate all they want. Once another country finds a cheaper more efficient energy source, thatll be it for oil. The US would also be forced to abandon it. And literally the rest of the world are working on it tirelessly. (Germany has made great progress towards a fusion reactor for example, and in Canada we've figured out how to draw co2 from the air and turning it back into burnable energy. But the process makes net emissions less than zero.)

And even if that doesn't pan out, there are already plans to mitigate the effects using aerosols to change the atmospheric contents. Its a last minute plan but its locked and loaded.

We aren't going to die. We're just going to play chicken with it.

I find Chomsky to be a dangerous man. He speaks only in "past tense". While it is very important to understand history, selective recollection of specific historical events can prove nearly anything. >>732288600
It's unreal to me that people actually believe this shit.

You can calculate, literally with calc.exe and a couple of quick google searches, that it is literally NOT POSSIBLE for us to create enough carbon emissions to significantly alter the atmospheric mass in such a way that it would have any measurable effect, assuming that stayed at our current pace, for a MINIMUM of 500-1000 years.

If, in fact, we did alter the carbon mass of the atmosphere like this, and it was a cause, and not an effect, then something drastic would happen to handle it pretty rapidly and geologic data would indicate that it has happened several times in the past because geologic activity produces WAYYYY more of this kind of greenhouse gas that humans have since the beginning of the industrial age.
>>
>>732302340
See>>732302332

Its atmospheric content. If there are too many more animals than plants you get more co2.

Thats just one of many factors.

You stuck to the natural cycle thing and didnt even bother to do the first google search as to "why"?
>>
>>732302116
Probably a decent amount. Definitely enough to call for change. Quoting https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar5/wg3/

"Global carbon emissions from fossil fuels have significantly increased since 1900. Since 1970, CO2 emissions have increased by about 90%, with emissions from fossil fuel combustion and industrial processes contributing about 78% of the total greenhouse gas emissions increase from 1970 to 2011. Agriculture, deforestation, and other land-use changes have been the second-largest contributors"

You've been watching too many Elon Musk videos. The best solar panels are 20% efficient, not to mention the unreliable insolence with bad weather. They may be hedging their bets with solar research but there is no fucking way they will just give up coal, it's much more energy dense and efficient. A properly scrubbed coal plant only kicks off co2 and water vapour, but all you sjw faggots think co2 is some wicked poison, when the room you're in right now has a co2 concentration way higher than 400 ppm, especially after jerking off to transgender libtard porn.

Also this.

I always cringe when I hear "muh sea level!" because it varies by HUGE amounts across the planet. There is no "sea level".

There's also movement of the plates of the earth up and down. You could have a standard sea level and the plate move down a foot, or up a foot. The fucking length of the day changes EVERY DAY because of WIND BLOWING ON THE MOUNTAINS. You actually think that the moon moving thousands of miles farther or closer to the earth isn't going to affect weather your beach house suddenly ends up underwater? Jesus.
