Well I dug the holes extra extra deep and wide so that I could fill them with lots of stinky compost and manure because that repels the gophers, moles and other burrowing creatures that wreck the garden every year

its calls 'Vertical orchard' , i use a cord to make , you can use whatever you want xd , only have to make a few holes under

I grow tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, garlic and have some parsley, basil, raspberries, and swiss chard. In the summer, at least a third of what I eat comes from my backyard
