No. I have a cat that is diabetic. I know I could get a perfectly good new kitten for free, but it's not about the cost of my cat (~$250/month plus ~$300 bi-monthly blood test visits). I foster dogs and volunteer at the local shelter. While $40,000 could do a lot of good for a lot of animals, I don't think life is something you can put a value on.
