More of an upper class town when I was a highschooler....almost no drug scene outside of a few stoners who did pot and while some were having sex about half never bothered until after graduation...people who were getting in on at like 16 and shit were kinda looked down upon as skanks and playboys.

Went off to college and was a typical recluse. Stayed in my dorm browsing the web and gaming. Second year of college I discovered /b/....this was in '05 you fucking newfags.

Main issue was that it wasn't an issue I cared about. I figured "fuck these women once I graduate I'll never see them again" so I never dated. One chick in the anime club was into me but I never explored that....probably should have in hindsight but meh.

After I got a BA I said OK time to find a real job and start dating, dated a bit but never lasted long. I gave up on dating when I realized I couldn't get a real job. Went back for a masters' and same conclusion; I'll never see these women again so no point in hunting.

Graduated again and dated once or twice...could have had it with one chick but as things got hot and heavy I noticed something about her that disgusted me...one of those things that could cause someone to lose interest in a heart beat. I'm not saying what it was but it was some weird shit I noticed while in her room. So that was that.

Said fuck it again.....dating is expensive and I still was making minimum wage. Decided I would not date until I had started my career.

FINALLY after 5 more years landed a great job. Once I was stable I decided to start looking again, had a few first dates with a few women that went nowhere and finally found an amazing woman who I'm still with now. About a month in we went all the way. Figure that's likely normal for most serious relationships.

So in summary, my main issue was I never cared enough about sex to seek it out. Once I wanted something took maybe 8 months to find something worth while.
