So much fail in this thread.

In the first place, the draft would be 18-26 and Selective Service would be how that would start. However, specialty needs (Doctors, Pilots, etc.) could be drafted up to age 45.

Not that I think it would happen. An all-volunteer military is better trained and more capable than a conscript armed force. Vietnam proved that beyond any doubt.

Also, I imagine any conflict with nuclear weapons against the Continental US will be like the old 80's miniseries "Amerika", where Soviet nukes are detonated over the US creating EMP's that sets us back technology-wise into the 1700's and then they invade.
