Well, as someone that has been a civilian for 26 years and in the military for 9, that is my take on things.

We have some dirt bags, no doubt, but for the most part everyone is generally a decent person. Not all of them are the most intelligent but it varies a lot.

In the entire time in, I've only seen one "sexual assault" within a command I was attached to, and I don't even know the details of what happened or what the outcome of the investigation was. I just know the female was given the option to detach immediately and go somewhere else, and she did. The guy stayed at our command.
