Say you're standing still. You see a portal rushing towards you. You jump/hop to clear the bottom of the portal and, just as you go through, the portal instantly stops moving. Will you go flying forward? If so, where did this momentum come from? As stated before, portals in the game Portal do not impart momentum to the object.
