TLDR recent college grad who's been saving like hell to begin my new job over seas. It's my dream job. Just got 4 traffic violations resulting in massive fines and possible revocation of DL. If I don't pay I won't get to fly out in 3 weeks to begin my career. Fines total $700 and that's all I had saved for my first months rent in my new country. I'm on disability for life, due to both mentally and physical reasons. I'm only 3X years old, and I wake up every day thinking "I think I'm done."
You know what keeps me powering through still?
Science, technology and games. Stuff I read about and can do from home.
Luckily, we have awesome grocery-delivery services around here, they take almost nothing for home-delivery. Before that was available, I sometimes could go days without food, either due to economy or simply not being able to get to the store.

4 years ago my car was attempted stolen. Attempted. But the damage to the wiring from the retards trying to steal it would cost more to fix than the car was worth. But since it wasn't fully insured, it wasn't entirely covered. I would have gotten more if it was stolen. So I never could afford another car.
I manage to stay somewhat in shape by swimming. Luckily, it's also dirt cheap to get services like that when on disability here.
Due to stupid rule changes in Norway last year, I've lost nearly 30% of my already low disability-income. I worry every day that my landlord will increase the rent again and I finally have nowhere to live.
But at least I have a computer and internet-connection. Dear heavens, would I been frustrated to hell if I couldn't play any games. That's thanks to a couple of very good friends of mine that have sold me parts over the years for a very low sum and on a "when you can pay" basis.

But mostly I miss Chocolate. I usually can't afford chocolate. A plate costs around 4.5€ (yes, I am not kidding) at my local store.
I would love to taste chocolate for the first time in several months. Just for a little bit of happiness, for a short bit.
My bankaccount is a bit overdrawn. As usual. Only by 10€~, in Norway there are strict rules on account use, so it's nearly impossible to overdraw it by any more than that.
But I will still feel better about using a bit for a chocolate when I get money again the 15'th :)
