As a person who has been to the Grand United Lodge of England in London and someone who has not only Masons as family friends but whose mother is a Mason, I can reveal what it takes to join the fraternity.

If you genuinely want to join the Freemasons there are sites on the internet to find your nearest lodge.

All you need to be is over 18, of good moral character and believe in some sort of a supreme being.

You will have to petition your local lodge and if they like you they will invite you for an interview to get a sense of you as a person and if your character is in line with Freemasonry's values.

If they like you they will invite you to the lodge and you will be inducted, through ritual and ceremony, into the lodge as an Entered Apprentice.

As you show good character and that you've understood the ideas and values of Freemasonry you've leant at that level, you will upgrade to a Fellow Craft and if you pass the test, months later and after proving a deep proficiency in Freemasonry's values, you will be made a Master Mason with a big fancy ceremony and everything.

Freemasonry aren't controlling the world's courts and aren't heretics and aren't the NWO (That's Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and sometimes X-Pac/Syxx) but a fraternity who's goal is individual self-improvement and the pursuit of knowledge in addition to being the second most prolific charitable organisation behind the Red Cross.
