I do small batches, usually one zip at a time.

> add ~1 cup iso to jar and shake till the alcohol starts to take on light gold color
> strain through filter directly into drying dish
> cover drying dish with a clean thin cloth and set somewhere safe and ventilated to evaporate
> add another 2/3 cup to jar and shake till it just starts to take on very light green hue
> strain into clean jar and let settle a day or two
> add wash to same dish once the first rinse is done drying
> no heat added during any steps
I avoid doing a batch on a humid day, makes it go cloudy
