1) This has taught me that the phrase "the customer is always right." doesn't mean they're actually right. It means "The customers are fucking idiots who will waste your time. Don't let them waste your time."
2) I did the math. A pack for $14.99 and a 7% tax rate. 1 roll at $4.34. The pack cost $16.05. The 4 individual cost $19.89. Bitch started a scene to save $3.84.

Two, I don't think it should be a necessity to work at a cashier posistion, but certainly some do need it.

Personally, I've never legitamately worked as a clerk, but I do a lot of conscession stand work for the band program in my town and it does teach a lot of the "People are retarded and you have to find a way to disarm them or to get them out of the stand in time to serve the next window-licker". Of course, they are usually more inclined to accept when you don't have something because you can always tell them that you only know a bit more than they do, but ear-biters will always come through.

My wife's sister has been working in the restaurant business for 5 years as both a server and hostest and she is the most obnoxious bitch I think I've ever met she may put on a good show at work but I can tell you she is not respectfully or patience with anyone.
