Given that I was being charged with numerous weapons-related offenses, my record won't be officially sealed until I turn 30. As such, I'm not sure whether I can purchase a firearm or not. The judge made it sound like I wouldn't be able to, but much of what I've read online suggests I can.

Don't really know, to be honest. All that was almost a decade ago.

I'm almost 25 now and am a PhD candidate at a decent university. That part of my life is well behind me. I miss being able to go grouse and deer hunting but am worried about getting rejected if I try to purchase a firearm. I know the chances of being prosecuted for a failed application are minimal, but meh.

I can vote and was specifically told by my former probation officer that I could legally answer "no" to inquiries as to whether I have any felony convictions. However, I was rejected from a volunteer position at a local hospital due to my juvenile record.

My state made some revisions which took juvenile records out of the State Police database but the FBI still has my fingerprints.

I can vote and imagine I can purchase a firearm but fuck. I don't know.
