I digress - Shave it. I went bald almost a year ago and I haven't felt the need to regrow my hair at all. It's a change, but it's so much better than balding. You'll be fine, just dont shave the back around your neck against the grain. Shave with the grain for the first few weeks, but once you get the hang of it it's just like shaving your beard. Avoid going against the grain on the neck and you'll be good.
