You're almost certainly right. However, I once got a CP ban for blind posting (it was a "pick a file and share it without checking first" and I chose poorly). Nothing is quite as chilling as clicking post and having the "YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED" screen pop up. And sure, "get a proxy" bla bla, but I got shit to do, and the free ones are all banned already (and I"m on a static IP address. That was a cold year or so before I could even view /b/ again, and even then it wasn't until I changed companies and got a new IP that I could post again.

For me I dont miss old /b/ as much as I just miss everything back then. I rekember when youtube first got going and I was the only person at school using it, I remember hearing that start up sound to windows XP and seeing those beautiful rolling hills. Remember when everyone was bashing Twilight and Justin Beiber? It was pretty cringey looking back but it was one of the things that made me love the late 2000s. Remember lego Star Wars on the PS2? Remember when 'viral videos' were a thing? Remember when Youtube videos were lucky to get 20k views? And when every video had Dreamscape playing with unregistered hypecam 2? Fuck I miss making fun of the videos buffering. Its all still there, they never deleted the old videos, but I miss when the internet was like the Bliss photograph, miles of unexplored freedom in the 2000s, but now theres other people, a lot of them are cool, but it was nice being here with just a few.

Its basically taking what you like about the past and changing it up to make it something new.What I try to do is to move forward but remember where you come from. Theres no point clinging to 2008 because its already happened, but you can expand on what you loved about it to make the 2010s special too. Like important videos is a sort of new look onto 2009 sort of things. I use petite tube to watch random shit on youtube like I used to. We just need to adapt what we loved about the past, remix it and make it something new
