2 is the easiest of the three games, but it's amazing and has great replay value.

Good game, just the weakest of the souls series. Only reason people hate it is because it has dark souls slapped on it. If it was a seperate game and nobody expected dark souls it would be praised. Also it had the best DLC in the series, if you dont include bloodborne as part of the series.

2 has the most little secrets in it and I think its the densest of the series as far as content. 3 has the best game play and 1 has the best setting and story. The only thing wrong with two is the way they fucked magic in it, it never really recovered from that

also two major things that 2 did right that I wish they had kept in 3. NG+ actually shifting enemies around and adding new ones along with new items, 3 had more rings in NG+ but 2 actually had NG+ specific weapons and spells ( the bonfire ascetics let you get them whenever if you could handle it) and power stancing any weapons. I really liked the unique movesets it gave you access to. Worst thing about it imo is the almost nonsensical story and how they just kind of shoved it into the series

My biggest problem with this game is there's no punishment for rolling.

You can roll 100 times in a fight, wait 1.5 seconds and have full stamina again.

Makes 99% of boss fights too easy, and makes PvP stupid.

Good story though, still enjoyed it. 7/10.

When I got to playing DS2 it was after having beaten the first about four times. I enjoyed DS1 like crazy and I was itching to play more dark souls. I got Scholar and loved it. The bosses of the side areas were the best I'd ever seen and the level design of Sanctum City and Brume Tower were astonishing. The views were picturesque and the bosses felt challenging.
I honestly wondered how anyone could hate it when I got the third crown.
Then I realized my favorite parts were DLC and I understood a bit of where everyone was coming from.
My fist experience with it was scholar, and I'd never put ds3 in a league with it.

I think it's a great game. Most of the people who defend it just try to devalue the other games though which kinda sucks. And people who talk shit about it usually just quote their favorite youtubers. I think, even in the souls series, it's an incredible game. I would still pick it over Dark Souls 3 any day. I still think the 1sy game is for pve, demons souls for story and a generally great time, 2 for pvp, and the 3 if you're new.

I wish someone could've fucked me as hard as this game did with Maldron The Assassin.

As someone who has played every souls game including BB aside from Demon Souls, I liked 2. My personal rating is DS>DS3>DS2>BB
(can't rate Demon Souls but I speculate it would be in between DS3 and 2)

It did feel pretty unconnected and it took getting used to but Scholar of the First Sin helped fix some of the lore gaps like the Dragon in Ash Lake being dead and the Undead Curse. Best PvP, Worst PvE, and worst level design. Most unique enemies and stages although not entirely good. I also enjoyed how it treated NG+ and so forth improving items as well as bonfire asthetics. I'll give it a 7/10

I don't understand all the hate it gets and everyone praising BB since I looked up the ratings for all Dark Souls and BB games to find out that all 4 have almost the exact same rating. DS1 and 2 are 4.5/5 and BBQ and DS3 are 4.6/5

Think back to the first game. The vast majority of its highlights come in the first half. It's where most of the "ah ha" moments come from when you find a shortcut or a cool level design loop, it's where most of the best bosses are (Nito, Seath, Bed of Chaos are all lackluster), and it has the most interesting areas.

It's a good thing that Gwyn is an excellent final boss (if a tad easier than I would have liked) or else I would have finished the game kinda pissed.

Seriously, I know it's just opinion and all, but how many dud bosses does 3 have compared to the other games? Yhorm is a cool set piece boss, the Deacons are kind of fun to slaughter, and Wolnir is a bit too easy. Those are probably the worst bosses and at least they're interesting/different.

I wasn't counting DLCs, but I actually liked the Greatwood and found Ancient Wyvern to be interesting if you look at it as more of a set piece boss (like Yhorm). I know that's not a popular position to take on Dark Souls bosses, but I don't mind them doing different things like that when we got plenty of high quality ones to balance it out.

Crystal Sage may not be great or anything, but its biggest crime is being forgettable. I liked Spear of the Church.... Though I do find it more fun to be on the boss side.

Besides, while they may be mediocre, I don't consider any of them bad... Bed of Chaos, Pin Wheel, Ceaseless.... those are bad IMO.

BBs bloodtinge build was best build.
All you had to do was time the shot to coincide with them coming out of their iframes after a dodge.

This guy was my favorite boss. He looked cool. His lore was tied into the area and the main game, he had some really intelligent AI (sees you chug and rushes you), his two forms were connected but differently difficult, and his area felt really final when you reach it, being the bottom of a giant fuckin' flame tower.
Only thing they could've done better is his music, but I'm a sucker for medieval industrial so I liked it.
