You're not wrong... I just take what people think about me too harshly, I know. I don't mind failure if it's with people I know won't think less of me, but when it's a stranger, I just feel so... scared. First impressions and all that.
I dunno, that sounds stupid.
Just a suggestion! One time I wrote like a 20 page paper for a class assignment where we wrote a short story with a character that had to make a sacrifice. I didn't really want the main character to nobly gave their life for the greater good, so the story ended up being about how a shadow organization ended up assassinating the character to steal their technology. It was a "sacrifice", just not a willing one. It actually turned out to be a really good story, but when I got my grade back it was like a C, which was the lowest you could go without failing. I asked why, and they said that while the writing was really good, it wasn't a actual "sacrifice," so they couldn't give it a good great. It was nice that they just didn't fail me on it, because it was worth a shitton for that semester, but I was extremely pissed off. I felt like I'd written a masterpiece (which it probably wasn't and I just think it was good) and was only worth a C.
Sorry, I kinda went on a tangent there, but it was kinda related, right?

But don't worry, even the best have some moments. Heck, I fatrolled for half of my first playthrough and noticed that weight matters only after I took on Havels' set and couldn't roll anymore.
And don't worry about the elevator. Or Blighttown in general. Everyone hates it. It's the best area in the game, but hated no less.

Yeah, gonna play on my "Knight that ain't afraid of no evil" char. Basicly an Elite Knight, strength, tons of HP and END. It's simple yet fun.
Far better than that fire Asylum Demon, that's for sure. Jesus I hated that bossfight, that AoE attack is bullshit.
I looked up a few things, too. Don't worry, we've all been there. The first 100 hours you still learn stuff and some mechanics, after that it's just practice, timing and spacing. Oh, and about 17% of panic rolls.
Blighttown is imo the best area because of all the bullshit the game throws at you, especially on the first playthrough. Toxins, poison, these FUCKING bugs with bullshit hitboxes, literally everything. This is the place that even the area is your enemy, and I kinda like it. I hate it as a whole, but imo all the weaklings are forged into real Souls players there.
But that's just my opinion.
