jesus OP your ffucking old

mine is Neverending Story 2

my dad made us leave because he didn't like the movie and was bored, it was the only movie we ever went to together.

he always was a fucking ass hole, but he always gave me a comfortable life with his money, so whatever, that's life

as a side note, neverending story 2 really is shit. the first one is god-tier though

Yeah. 1977.

We only had one episode back then.
But it was so mind blowing we didn't care.

>>728167007
pretty jealous, not only cause seeing that in theater back then would have been awesome, but because you grew up in a generation where there was hope in the world and the future still looked somewhat bright and hopeful, or at least livable through cool technology

i was born in 1986, and i've pretty much wanted to kill myself since the year 2000
>>
>>728168327
How does it compare to the recent Star Wars, Episode 7?

Meanwhile, being a 90s kid (like i said, spacejam was my first theatrical movie) I had episode 1 as my first star wars. I actually watched them in the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 order.
>>
>>728168544
I was born in 95', so can you tell me what changed? I'm genuinely asking, as I'm curious why things seem bleaker now compared to looking at the future from your 14 year old self in 2000, as I was 5.

Could God create a stone so heavy that even He could not lift it?
>>
>>728168544
It was a pretty cool time to grow up. The only surveilance cameras were in banks and convenience stores so life didn't feel like someone was always watching you, like it is today. You could get away with a lot of shit back then. No cell phones, so if you were in your car driving somewhere, you were just off the grid. There was no internet porn tho - so thats why I am on 4chan ... making up for lost porn time. ha.

Ghostbusters II in 1989
>>
>>728168853
yup, me too. I'm 95 and I love Star Wars. To be honest Episode 7 was the first I ever saw in theaters, as I got 1-3 on DVD when I was younger. I had a great time at Episode 7, but seeing Episode 4 in 77' when you had no idea what was coming would've been awesome.

Born in 90, still vividly remember Aladdin, then the lion king. Fuzzy as fuck around that time but those plots are crystal clear.

Could god create a penis so big that not even he could resist it?
>>
>>728169018
yes and no. cause he's god.
>>
>>728168619
I'm sure in many technical respects that the new ones are superior. But they lack the magic of the original simply because apart from 2001 Space Odyssey nothing like that had ever been done before. Plus I was 10 and in love with Carrie Fisher.

Yes, part of omnipotence is the ability to revoke your omnipotence. But he wouldn't be omnipotent anymore after making the stone.

basically refer to what OP responded here >>728169048

life felt like an adventure pre-2k. it felt "big". it felt like anything was possible and it seemed like your wildest dreams could still come true.

nowadays if you think you've got a great idea you just go into google and punch it in and probably millions of people are already talking about it like they're talking about what's for lunch. life is fucking boring, depressing, and useless these days. man is truly obsolete, until we finally decide to reach for the stars, but i can't see that happening for hundreds more years

OP, I'm also a fellow old oldfag. I also saw Star Wars in the theater in it's original theatrical run. But before that, I remember my parents took me to see Jaws when I must have been five or six years old, and it scared the living shit out of me. I remember sitting in my room after the movie afraid that the shark was going to come through the fucking wall and eat me.

Alien did that for me. I was looking for face huggers everywhere I went. Freaked my shit.

Never saw Jaws in original release - prolly not allowed by my parents. Prolly just as well.

I eventually saw it later on and to this day I refuse to be in water I can't see to the bottom of. - [OP]
