This story is for my sister who watches Gilmore Girls, I hope she likes it!

Mine was in her house thinking about boys and clothes when Sheele walked in.

The only reason declining birth rates are a problem in developed countries is because the social security system and other elderly care systems are giant Ponzi schemes.

With low skilled jobs being replaced more and more by automation why should there be a problem with the elder to young ratio being out of balance for a generation except for the fact that the young are needed to keep the Ponzi from collapsing.

According to Doctor Malthus, either we as humanity will find a way to adapt to the conditions of a higher population, whether that be finding a way to accommodate the people, or initiating population control. What naïve. There are large chunks of Africa that can't naturally support large numbers of people. Just like in Australia, N America and Asia. Unlike these other continents, Africa is broken into blocks of smaller countries, some of which are resource poor when it comes to feeding people. Aid helps you. Political stability in Africa through aid programmes (which is about 0.007% of the US GDP) helps secure you favourable prices on agricultural goods.

Its a tiny part of every nations GDP and you need to look deeper than international aid than a "hand out" and look at what infrastructural investment does for international political stability.

Let's say a country(s) that size go rogue, and the world has (hypothetically) has agreed to no nukes so we all don't get dead. I'm all for sending some aid, so long as the needy get it and not some Dictator fuck or terrorists but I'm not your fucking housewife. Inactive fields are common in the US because we produce too much food. (Fresh farm food, that is.) That has a shelf life. Since the markets were flooded with fresh food, prices went down and farmers lost their jobs due to poor sales. They couldn't hold on to the food like another material, because eventually the food will go bad. They can't just drop it off at a processing plant or cold warehouse either, since processing companies have contracts with farmers already and cold storage costs a shit ton. Now we spend a fraction of the budget rewarding some overachiever farmers for not flooding the market. I'm not talking your local farmers market, theres room for those. I'm talking about the HUGE farms in the Midwest. It would be a logistical nightmare to ship all that food overseas without it going bad.

Yeah. If I could control the opinion of the population, I'd make it so babies and young children are seen as the gross little shits they are. Ones with genetic defects would be eradicated from the start. Then I'd start making it so young kids (under 6 or so) aren't seen as people so much as people caterpillars, and as inferior as a true larva is to it's adult form. They'd still be treated with all the love and affection necessary for healthy growth, but it'd be more giving attention to your dog than to your kid. Then at age six or seven, I'd have all of the children undergo a mandatory psych evaluation and stuff, and if they don't do well enough (say bottom ten or twenty percent) they are either castrated or culled from the population.
