This one is kenya. She's in charge and yells at you until you pick her up or pet her. Incredibly demanding cat who only wants to play with the other cats if she's winning. If she ends up on the bottom when they wrestle she's done. If she isn't the one chasing she's done. If she can't get to higher ground than the other cat she's done.

Did you know that koi fish can be affectionate?
When I was a mailman, I delivered mail to this house that had a koi pond. One day he showed me how they reacted to seeing him.
He'd basically walk to the edge and they'd all swim to the surface. Then he would put his hands into the water and one of them would swim within his grasp. Then he would pick it up and tickle it a bit while it wriggled. He did it for a very short while, to avoid it asphyxiating.

Well I think it's time i contributed rather than looking at Corgis in sinks.

This is my cat Jack, who is a brother to my other cat, No-Spots. It's an interesting story about the name. No-Spots had two brothers, Spots and Jack. They were strays that we took off the street when we found their mother dead and them nearby. As we took care of them and watched them grow and show up to get food from our house, we were going to attempt to trap them and bring them inside next week, when we found Spots dead in the road, not a week after our current cat, who passed on in October, was also hit by a car and broke his hip in 3 places. We gave Jack a name but not No-Spots or Spots, because we weren't planning to keep either No-Spots or Spots. We were to give them to an adoption centre or a loving family, but by the time we realized we were keeping both of them they had already grew to recognize and respond to the name so we decided to roll with it. Also I apologize for my horrible camera skills beforehand

People who assert that cats are not loyal and loving, have never actually truly befriended a cat.
Once you get them to love you, they'll follow you around and be just as affectionate as any dog is able to.

This is Maya. She is a chunky little shit. She fukkin bit me the other week. But i love her and she is a blast to handle. A blast and an effort. She is over 6ft and a bit over 12lbs right now.

Charcoal and DD.

These two are the most adorable little shits in the world. They cuddle and play together (DD Steals my clothing and Charcoal steals pens and coins.) I have another ferret, but I don't have a picture of all three of them. They both cuddle me when I sleep (I let my ferrets out of my cage whenever I'm home.) They're the loves of my life, though Charcoal is just a baby (6 months old.) Couldn't imagine life without 'em.

Thanks but he was a cool cat that enjoy us probably as much as we did, nothing to be sad about, so I dont see it as a loss.

Then again, I had a pet rat and usually they kick the bucket by the third year so i appreciate the time a lot more than being sad about being dead.

Wish we could had made a boat and send him off in the ocean, or at least put him in a bag and throw him in the ocean but we live in the desert so no such luck.

My childhood cats Chili and Milo were trained by my mother. She introduced them to the outside world first in a little rucksack, with their heads poking out. Then when they got a bit bigger, we walked them in bunny leashes. And when they were fully grown, we could take them for walks without a leash and they'd stay right by us.
We could whistle them home and they were super affectionate and good with small children.
They even had different vocalizations for the people in my house. me, my siblings and my dad were slightly different iterations of Mrureee and my mum was Mrurrr.
They were really nice cats.

I adopted a stray once, named him booger because he was a little booger, and we would go exploring together in the woods by my house. Less of a walk and more like hanging out with friends. He definately stuck by me and I by him. Almost the same thing.

>>
What
>>
>>727829584
Why not. Even with the most recent memory being quite a sour one, I'm sure there's a good memory of him. I had a dog, who also passed on in October. He wasn't doing so well for the past few years but that's not the point of this story, he got along with Tigger more than a cat should with a dog. They were so perfect together and when they weren't together, Tigger was with me. One time on a sleepless night, I distinctly remember closing my door as I went off to bed. About 15 minutes later, I hear a strange rumbling sound, and think nothing of it. As it continues it begins to annoy me and I turn over in my bed. There, highlighted perfectly in the moonlight, Tigger sat, directly next to my head looking down at me and purring. I almost throw myself backwards off he bed out of fright before realizing it was him, since I had no idea he was there, and it was just his face highlighted so I couldn't see the rest of him, like the Chestershire Cat (or however you spell that). He ended up sleeping with me that night.

>>727831045

Well I grew up in the country, so leashes wasn't strictly needed. But we did it to watch out for them in the beginning and to teach them to stay close to us. They never went far from our house and was always within whistling distance.
The only time one of our cats didn't come home at night was one new years eve. That was Chili who got lost. So my mom looked at Milo and told him to go out to find him. About 15 minutes later, he came back with Chili.

There are Coyotes in the area and they said they heard Coyotes.
I want to take a hike up to the hills and bring them the coyote's heads.
It would be so much safer for my town if I just killed some but the town is a liberal artsy resort beach town or whatever and there are shit laws protecting the fucking mangy savages.
Why do people do this? It's obvious that they are hated by almost everybody in the city/town but nobody does shit about it.
There was a family that got their house invaded by a mangy shitfur that ate their chihuahua and almost their baby.
When will this shit stop?

They are sisters but not from the same litter.

Well my mom is a bit witchy when it comes to animals.
One summer our kitchen got overrun by ants and no amount of poison and other deterrents would stop their onslaught.
Then one afternoon, my mom got really tired of them and told them that if they would leave our kitchen alone, she'd feed them in the back yard.
We didn't see a single ant in our house for the rest of the year and my mom of course kept her promise and fed them in the backyard.

Go to a local animal shelter and ask if you can borrow a live trap. They might lend you one to help catch the kitty. Most of the time they'll even have people volunteer to help tell you what exactly to do and lots of ways to find a lost animal. One tip I can offer is for them to leave the litter box outside. Cats can find their way back much more easily that way.

I don't have any specific stories, but with my childhood cats, I often got the sense that they were laughing at me and my family from time to time.
It's more of a conveying a sense of unspoken emotions than actual speech per se, but I would rarely be confused about what they wanted or what they were commenting on.
Chili also had a habit of playing with Milo after he died of cancer. Chili would show the same playing behaviors that they both showed while Milo lived, but just kind of on his own. He really acted like milo was still around and he'd sometimes walk into a room, stare into the air and do the vocalizations he used to use with Milo.

Hedgehogs are adorable, we once rescued a litter of babies who were wandering around in our yard in daylight. Apparently their mom left them because they were sick, we figured that out when they gave it to us.
It taught me how to pick them up and snuggle them without getting stung.
Once they got on their feet, we took them to a hedgehog lady who rehabilitated them and put them back in the wild.

Not a good idea. Wild mice can be sick and carry parasites like fleas and worms. They can also carry diseases that could make you quite ill. It's best to leave wild mice and rats alone
