I'd really, really, really, REALLY like for there to be more battle spells, for customization spells to return (I don't remember them being in Skyrim), and for master level magic to not suck fucking ass. I played a spellcaster in Skyrim, because I liked how they improved how the spells functioned, but they increased function and severely limited variety. With the master level spells, there was almost no point in using them, cause you're left wide open to attack for I think 3 seconds before it even casts. I mean, the massive lightning beam was cool to look at, but it's not very useful when going to cast it lets you get completely surrounded.

The lightning master spell was useful in the final battle against alduin though cause he flaps around so much. I was really high level for that battle and zapped him out the sky in 10s with that spell. Most disappointing final boss battle ever.

It would create a new level of replayability and danger. Characters dialogue would change depending on the time of year. You could get trapped somewhere for months during a flood. Done right, it could add a depth we've never experienced before. ES games should be a journey, not a race to the end. Only if they're making the game from the ground up. Most of the times it's just fixing some bugs they never got around to, maybe altering a bit of the game code and making higher res skins.

And even when they're remaking the game from the ground up it's not more work as the story is already done and they're not making a new engine for that game but using one of their more modern ones. As opposed to when the game was first made, they had to create the story, the audio, generally design a whole new engine and so on.

Remaster are never more work than the originals.
