I really want to do all sorts of multiplayer ones.
My two favourite ideas are:
>paintball where shooting someone gradually makes them the opposite colour to you (and scoring is based on how different your colour is to everyone else, if everyone is reddish and you're bluish that's good).
>dwarves with picks who spawn and respawn around a mountain and have to get to the jewel at the heart of the mountain

They're cool ideas because they're very simple in theory, but in practice the gameplay can get very complicated.
Like, there's no clear optimal strategy to the dwarf game, and the paintball game might have some absurd strategies in it such as deliberately getting shot by low score players since being the opposite colour to them gives you a hgih score.

netcode varies on the engine, if you want something easy I think amazon has a fork of cryengine that has really easy to implement networking services - 'lumberyard' or something

webgl and javascript will probably work if you are experienced with them, but they will require much more effort on your part than using an existing 3d engine

if you're having trouble following the tutorial, I would start with some smaller and more basic programming tutorials to get you comfortable with the syntax

it's important to keep your code organized with a project like that, a game can end up being long and you don't want spaghetti code everywhere

python is way better suited for engineering/research applications than for making video games, might be better to try using a dedicated 2d engine
