At the dollar store you can get a carton of eggs and a loaf of bread for two dollars. That'll last a decent amount of time if u can eat that many eggs. The dollar store in general could have a lot of things of interest to you. If you can scrounge up a little more, buy and cook rice, beans, and frozen vegetables together. It's tasty, nutritious, and just costs a few bucks. I knew a kid that used to survive on that stuff because he spent most of his income on drugs. You can also add sauces in there, like soy sauce or tomato sauce, for some extra flavor.

I usually get two of the cheapest loaves of bread I can find, those usually run me a dollar and thirty cents, and a pot of jam will last you a while too
