>>
>>726847238
Feels pretty great so far, he's exceeded expectations imo. That healthcare thing was Paul Ryan's fault entirely. Also, believe it or not, but you CAN work and play golf at the same time.
>>
Hes a month in and hes accomplished more than Obama.
>zero new wars
>russians > saudis
>still in healthcare battle, that took obama several years
>not a nig

Things are looking better than ever, and even if he stops doing anyhting for the next 7 years, we can rest easy knowing none of the neoliberal economic polices clinton wanted to enact to lower our standard of living to that of mexico will pass.

america = saved from neoliberal policies

GOPCare/Trumpcare failed and Ryan did fuck up. Ryan fucked up thinking Donald could talk the talk, and close the deal. He couldn't, and we're all better off because of his inability to sway the FREEDUMB COCKUS. The irony, though, is that the same FREEDUMB COCKUS is not responsible for the ACA being the law of the land.

“Together we’re going to deliver real change that once again puts Americans first. That begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as Obamacare. My first day in office, I am going to ask Congress to put a bill on my desk getting rid of this disastrous law and replacing it with reforms that expand choice, freedom, affordability.”

He also said: “It’s going to be so easy.”

Guess that didn't work out too well, did it? Now, come on cucks come tell me how Trump is some mastermind and expected this to happen.

It basically boils down to this. Donald Trump and Paul Ryan had to sell the AHCA to the Republican-controlled house. The Democrats were not going to play ball, so trying to sell it to them was pointless. Unfortunately for Ryan, who isn't popular at all, and Trump, who isn't popular either, within the Republican party there is a group of representatives called ''The Freedom Caucus.''

The Freedom Caucus doesn't want to govern, they want to stop government. When Ryan and Trump tried to sell this bill to the Freedom Caucus, they weren't having it. Trump and Ryan couldn't convince them, even after giving them some of what they wanted, this caucus still refused to vote for the bill. At this point, Trump and Ryan could give no more to appease this group without pissing off more mainstream Republicans. Too many reps. from the Freedom Caucus were going to vote against the bill, so rather than have it shot down on the House floor the vote was pulled.

You have to understand the American mindset. Americans have swallowed the idea that regardless of your station at birth, you're one step away from becoming a millionaire. America is the ''Land of Opportunity.'' You're supposed to fight for the rich guy because you're going to be rich someday. You're supposed to fight for the rich guy because they've earned their money! You're supposed to fight for the rich guy because if they get richer, you'll get richer when they hire you to do their work. It's a masochistic fantasy divorced from reality. America is a religious country, though the prime god isn't the god of the Bible, it's the free market. It can do no wrong, and to suggest any redistribution of wealth would be to try and correct the omniscient market.

>Yes, fat people who cant afford healthcare dont have a "right" to make me pay for them
Before ACA---and even now, to a lesser extent---the uninsured go to the emergency room and get health care they can't pay for. Then, because they stiffed the hospital on their bills, the hospital raises their prices for us to cover those losses.

So you're paying either way. Would you like to pay to get everyone insured, or would you like to pay emergency room rates?

People call the healthcare thing a failure, but not so. Part of being a deal maker is knowing when to walk away. Deals are made by opposing factions giving and taking until they discover the balance of a middle ground. There was no middle ground on this one, so it was time to walk away and try to come up with something else. Somehow we've become so used to a party ramming legislation through, so we see this as a failure. Nope, this is how the system was designed to work. This is why these things start in the House too - because each member and their vote represents a relatively small number of people back in their state. If the law isn't favored by a majority of people in their district, then they are voting no. That's how it works.

I love that term. It really means "cite a source that leans a direction I like". The word "fact" is dropped in there because it sounds authoritative, even though it has nothing to do with facts. Dems like word play like that. They do the same thing with "science". They drop that word into a sentence as if it's an ace card that automatically wins the argument no matter what. If they hear an opinion they don't like, they label it as "rhetoric", because that sounds negative.

Mississippi is kinda an exception to the rule even for the deep South. All you need to do is read what happened with the local media after the killing of Emmett Till. They were unanimously like "Electrocute the white trailer trash!" up until the rest of the country weighed in, particularly the big northern cities, and then suddenly all the Mississippi papers started running stories on the wonderful Christian lives of the white killers and how horrible a person Till was and why there was no evidence etc etc.

Mississippi is more tribal than any Papua New Guinea cannibals that you see in some 19th century comic book.

At the expense of everyone else. Unless he can also cut stalwart budget hogs like Defense, a one-sided cut of revenue has no empirical or theoretical economic value.

Also, what exactly would you do with that extra money? Would you hire full-time employees for some business expansion for which there is no market (assuming you have a business)? Would you buy more useless shit in a series of one-off purchases that will end up merely sitting around unused (in which case it is literally no different than welfare -- the direct injection of cash into the hands of another for no economic return)? Will you invest in stocks, which is again a form of letting money sit in a static account and economically equivalent to not having cut the tax at all?
