feel free to post pics if u have em
>>
>>726427551
15 years. They are fucked now. OP brush your teeth.
>>
A month or so. Nothing happened. I might start brushing my teeth after seeing that picture though
>>
>>726427813
i brush twice a day
im just wondering about the rest of /b/
>>
never more than 2 days without brushing. Really, it's the basic stuff...
>>
2 days
>>
like 3 days when I was too sick to get out of bed
>>
>>726427551
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj5zoXe9onQ

Enjoy.
>>
honestly prob a week or two. now i brush twice a day and mouthwash with coconut oil for 5 mins everyday. do yourself a favor and keep your mouth healthy
>>
>>726427551
About a week.
I usually only brush them before I leave the house... and for the past year or so I've barely left the house.
Brushed them last night for the first time in about 5 days and my gums literally pissed blood.
I'm British though, it's the law to have bad teeth.
>>
A year. I only had one cavity...
>>
>>726427551
Six months or so, wasn't really counting. Nothing happened.
>>
>>726427551
Probably 2 years, but I use toothpicks and scrape them and nobody appears to notice. Had a couple cavities, that's it
>>
1 Year, had no cavities.

Been brushing twice a day and flossing every day, and gums are bleeding and shit smells bad.

I brush with soft brush softly too. I can literally rub my gums and they bleed.

I hate my life.
>>
>>726427551
About a week, teeth felt sensitive, could taste my mouth which is unpleasant, teeth felt... greasy? After I started brushing them again it was all good. I honestly only brush my teeth before work and despite having acid reflux and lust for sour and spicy foods, I haven't had a cavity in well over a decade. Then again I also haven't seen a dentist in nearly 3 years but nothing feels out of place.
>>
I remember when I was younger I went a long time without doing it and then I started again and my mouth is still perfectly healthy wowie
>>
>>726428920
pussy bitch
>>
>>726428998
Fuck you nigger, I don't like that my teeth piss out blood just by brushing or eating.

Shit blows.
>>
23 years, 1st 20 were cool (thought I was onto something) then the last 3 were shit (12 cavities, 2 root canals). Brush everyday now no cavities
>>
>>726427551
Try to only go as low as once per day... lowest.

No flossing tho. Lead to early gingivitis, but shits reversible
>>
>>726429271
I think saliva and general healyh plays a part but even more so the type of food you eat
>>
>>726427813
Please post pictures
>>
16 years, went fine, then my wisdom teeth started braking others and it all went to shit. I had a high sugar diet at the time too. I got like 2 cavities.

Always remember kids, "A gallon of milk a day, will give you titanium bones to stay."

Does anyone else make their own toothpaste?

>>
I brush my teeth with a special toothpaste because I'm allergic to all other types of toothpaste. One drop on my lips and they swell up and get rid and burn for hours.

I brush after every meal.
>>
op here

i get away with not brushing my teeth sometimes because when i was a baby and finished teething my mom had some liquid solution the dentist puts on peoples teeth to repair chips. like she coated my teeth in it and let it dry, so ive gone like 2 weeks without brushing and i eat candy all the time and ive never had a cavity. pretty neat

Jesus Christ you fucking hipsters are the worst. Coconut oil is not a god damned magic potion cure all for everything, for fucks sake. I bet you wash your hair with it too. Use listerine you faggot.

i brush my teeth twice a day every day and dont drink coffee but they are grey and pitted because i took tetracycline as a teenager for bacne. im mad about it. shit wasnt even on my face and now im fucked for life over something that would have gone away by now on its own anyway

Actively, I brush about bi-weekly. I know it's gross, I stopped caring for myself. My teeth are wearing down and they're coated in tartar a lot. I usually break down and brush them when tartar builds up on my gums. One tooth is broken in the back, I can't chew on that side, it doesn't hurt if I leave it alone. I can smell the broken tooth, I know it's rotting, pretty sure my mouth smells like walrus anus.
>>
>>726431980

What, strengthening bone and helping prevent tooth decay? Actually you can reverse that, it's called eating sugar and not brushing and flossing.

>>
>>726433664
What? How do you get that?

The bottle literally tells you to NOT use listerine if your teeth or loose or you have had gum disease or are under the age of 5 iirc

theres a reason
>>
>>726433280
He's just mad that hes not tasting the coconut
>>
>>726433530
No it actually does not strengthen teeth. Fluoride gets in your body, and never ever leaves. Like carbon monoxide, Mercury, and lead. And the worst: fluoride is more toxic than the 3 I just listed. It's a chemical manufacturing by product. And they dispose of it by putting it into our water. Much like ethylene glycol in pure form, it is water soluble, and mixes into water.

It's been about 15 years since I've brushed my teeth. I'm not disgusting, they shattered because I was to close to an IED that exploded resulting in the need to have them all removed. Most of the bones in my head were likewise shattered. It was a miracle I survived. I still brush my gums though, mostly to keep them toughened up for eating.
>>
>>726433280
for making popcorn, which explains the color of your teeth.
>>
>>726433530
no, I mean like dementia and alzheimer disease, WEAKENED bones by essentially drawing calcium towards the surface of the bone creating bumpy nodes of calcium that often lead to arthritus which, funnily enough, is where you find the effects of fluoride - near joints.

It prohibits enzymes in our body that we need and can lead to behavioral disorders and other medical conditions like actually destroying a developing childs teeth before they even appear

all of this is scientific fact and can be seen through a simple Google search

>>726434168
just because you said so.

>>726427551
I haven't brushed more than once or twice in the last 5-6 years, basically since I started working late nights. Only reason I did was to eliminate a particularly annoying bit of whatever. However, I am also a heavy drinker of soda and alcohol as a result of my work hours and sleeping habits, and I've developed at least one major cavity on one of my molars that I can feel with my tongue. The odd part is that it's on the edge, not in the middle, so I'm not quite sure how anything sat there long enough to dig in. I can only assume I crunched down on something.

Basically, missing a few days or nights won't mean instant tooth decay, but I would advise at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Also, ain't no bitch gonna wanna man with sewer breath, so if you're out to get the ladies, minty fresh is the way to go. Figuratively of course, as I find lots of women are actually put off by distinct "fresh" odors, in addition to overt stink. Also, vodka is not a terrible choice if you're trying to do a quick clean while out on the town, but don't overdo it.

Parsley removes it from the body, so does sulfur supplementation (e.g. msm, sts)

>>726427551
I haven't consistently brushed my teeth ever.

Never did it as a kid. Mom never made me so I just didn't build the habit. Currently 19, still don't brush my teeth and they are fine. Use to eat a lot of candy as a kid and I got a nasty cavity, but then I stopped eating candy and other sweet foods, started eating more wholesome foods, stopped drinking milk. Teeth are pretty healthy currently.

not that anon, but, he is right that in the USA we have fertilizer companies that manufacture the Fluoride we use as a byproduct of strip mining.

in my state of Florida we have the largest Fluoride producing plant in the entire United States in central florida.

last year one of the containment ponds used to store the toxic fluoride actually ate through the limestone and untold gallons leaked out and down into a massive sinkhole.

braces were too expensive, too embarassing(lots of headgear : / in a small town where all the other kids were poor and had shitty bad teeth and no else had braces), and too painful to not at least brush twice a day

brushed teeth on the lower end of a double digit amount of times until i made it into my 20s. never flossed until my 20s as well. never had cavity but went to the dentist a couple months ago with complaints of what ended up being inflammed gums (just above and behind 1 tooth, basically) and i guess i have earliest form of periodontitis. been brushing and flossing pretty frequently and occasionally using mouth wash, my gums aren't swollen/don't hurt anymore, if i keep taking better care of my mouth and get that deep clean dentist shit done a few times should i be in the clear to not lose any of my teeth?

but thats the point I'm making. the science does prove the claims made by an enormous segment of the scientific community.

you already have your mind made up about this entire issue, obviously, so, I'm not even sure why you're still here arguing about it.

if you had a degree in life sciences, you'd know that fluoride is not healthy.

the NIHS/WHO even has data that says fluoride doesnt help poor people or the cost of the states bills go down by having it in the water

no other nation uses fluoride in their drinking water besides the usa thats 1st world

go ask any of your european friends. it may be some bottled water imported, but the supply itself to the citizens.

Since my dentist can't give me a straight answer, maybe some qualified /b/ medfag can help me out here.

I used to brush twice a day, mouthwash as well, floss when I needed it. For about 5 or 6 years when I had the regular rhythm of brushing and flossing, every 6 months when I went to the dentist I ALWAYS had 2-3 cavities. Every single time. They obviously thought I was lying when I said I brushed, but after so many years, other people had to vouch for me to actually confirm that I was doing it.

A few years ago, after ~20 cavities, I stopped brushing, and I occasionally use mouthwash and only floss if something is bothering me. Ever since then, no cavities and no gum problems whatsoever. Seems backwards, right?

Here's the detail that they can't seem to answer. In 8th grade biology, the whole class did a voluntary spit test where they sent off the samples to analyze the contents and send back the results. Stupid, I know, but for some reason that was important in middle school bio. My results came back and I had 60x higher levels of amylase and 3x higher levels of lysozyme. The amylase explains why my whole life I've been unable to eat anything sweet, like fruit or any kind of dessert, because all of the starch is broken down so quickly that it causes a ridiculous amount of pain that shoots down my jaw.

So long story short, why does brushing seem to cause cavities for me, when the opposite is expected because any starch/amylopectin is instantly converted to glucose and sucrose? Also counter-intuitive because you'd think the sugar shock would give me the diabeetus, but I'm far from having that as well. What do, /b/?
>>
>>726438330

About a month. My teeth started feeling pretty slimy and gross and I became bleeding gums anon. I also got a nasty case of Jock Itch, Athlete's Foot, and seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp.

I ended up brushing them again and showering once I stopped feeling depressed and realizing I was too chickenshit to just end it.

that's nothing compared to the an entire nation forcing people to drink it, absorb it through their skin, and eat it against their will.

if anyone is interested, try oil pulling; basically, take a spoonful of coconut oil (coconut oil is a natural anti-microbial) and swish it around in your mouth for 10-15 minutes; don't swallow any of it and make sure you brush your teeth afterwards.

Helps with bad breath and is also good for your gums. Adding a drop of peppermint oil to it will make it more bearable to swish around as well.

Also if you have a toothache, chew on a couple cloves.

2 years, with lots of soda. Bottom gum on a tooth has receded. Have a few teeth that are slightly chipped. Wisdom teeth are in mouth still cause too poor to get them removed
>>
>>726427551
I didn't brush my teeth until I was 15-16, I regret it so much. I had to have multiple root canals and I have about 4 fucking cavities currently which I can't affords to have fixed. Sucks balls and hurts.

Take care of your teeth people.

Well I've actually seen part of mine during a surgery I wasn't supposed to be awake for, but I was drugged up. Other than that I've never seen another so "maybe" skeletons don't exist. 2spooky4me

What country are you in? I'm in the US. I don't think I'll ever be rich enough to be able to afford to get any dental, have to wait for the teeth to fall out on their own/steal Tylenol from the store for pain.
>>
>>726438872

I was a shut in and only ever talked to other people if I was at the drive thru in some fast food place. And i'm obviously a virgin and am retarded when it comes to dating(among other things) so that was never an issue.
>>
I brush twice a day for the past 10 years but I used to dip. Whenever I floss or brush really hard my gums bleed. I have seen my gums recede. That's when I stopped dipping. Still bleeds though.
>>
used to brush when i was a kid had lots of cavities & tooth aches because of it stopped for going on 18 years now no more toothaches im convinced dentist are snake oil merchant and brushing only files down the bone to give you more problems so you have to go more often and pay them more
>>
>>726440517
US as well. Dentist doesn't accept any insurance for removal of wisdom teeth. They want you to sign up for a high interest credit card or pay $1500 cash upfront
>>
>>726440961
>brushing only files down the bone
Do you brish with a hammer and chisel, Fred?
>>
>>726441221
That sucks for you. I know people who have gotten theirs pulled for $275 per tooth out the door.
>>
>>726440961
Diet is a big part of healthy teeth, brushing removing old food helps a lot. I think tooth paste and deep cleanings are definitely a scam
>>
>>726441343
It's pretty much that cost plus pain meds. But they refuse to do just one at a time. It's either 2 or nothing. That's around $650-700.
>>
>>726427551
months. never had a cavity or any problems
>>
>>726441343
Dollars american? o_o

I wish I would be able to afford that, it would take me more than a year of penny pinching to put away enough for just one tooth.
>>
>>726441223
no i use a brush but its the same as rock getting smoothed by the ocean or mountains getting forged by the wind if you do it often enough (2x a day) i believe your teeth are thinner and weaker for it
>>
>>726441652
Dental is extremely expensive here, but it's some of the best. Problem is insurance, and dentists not wanting to fight insurance companies for payment
>>
>>726430548
>never brush teeth. what am i, 8?
Dude same. I don't wipe my ass anymore either... same bullshit hygiene tactics we were taught in preschool, pathetic really.
>>
ALRIGHT LETS MAKE THIS QUICK. YOU SHOULD BRUSH AND FLOSS AFTER EVERY MEAL OR AT LEAST TWICE A DAY CLEAN YOUR TOUNGE TOO, TAKE VITAMIN C AND DO OIL PULLING WITH COCO NUT OIL. JUST GOOGLE THIS SHIT. SWEAR ON TRUMP IT WORKS. STILL NEED PROFESSIONAL CLEANING TWICE A YEAR TO BE PERFECT THOUGH. PEACE. FAGGOTS

I didn't brush for about 18 years.

Never got a cavity and never had bad breath, so I figured why bother. Just had mildly yellow teeth.

I'm 36 now. I started brushing my teeth again about 2 years ago. I see no real benefit as mouth diseases tend to be genetic. My teeth are no whiter after 2 years with "whitening" toothpaste, my teeth are now more sensitive than they ever were (a side-effect of whitening toothpaste, I've read), my breath is no fresher as it was never bad to begin with and I still haven't had a cavity.

Also I'm very overweight and eat and drink traditionally terrible food for teeth. Sugared soda every day, lots of fast food, etc.

*shrug*

I once didnt brush my teeth for like 3 months when i was 11 or so and i got trench mouth. Nothing severe but the medication tasted like acid smoothies and it made me start brushing my teeth and floss twice a day now.

Did the same thing. You should go to a dentist and have them take a look at your teeth.
>>
>>726428336
Holy shit this disgusting fukr had double wide teeth from all that hardened plaque.

I swear ive contemplated pursuing dentistry as a possible career, but the smells you must have to endure and tolerate would ruin me within a year for sure.

I used to go about a month without brushing as a kid, turned out fine
Now out of fear I brush every night before I go to bed and before I go out otherwise just at night
My smile is probably responsible for about 75% of my sexual encounters yet I don't take care of it, I'm an ungrateful fuck thanks for making me realize this OP

I've had no serious issues with dental health despite the neglect and refusal to brush my teeth since childhood. I'm a 25yo male. I do brush when I venture to the outside of course, but I avoid it as much as possible. I can't really explain why. Other then a slight yellow, once they are washed I have zero problems and zero complaints from the opposite sex.

Careful Anon, age affects teeth a lot, one day you might be fine next day you might have a tooth shatter or crack do to weak enamel. I'd recommend a check up
