There's something all of the recent election nonsense has taught me, something I never got to learn before. It goes like this:

The majority of people don't understand the actual politics, or care about them. They are made to only care for, or be consumed by, single-issue politics, with parties that almost become single-issue parties. Talking points. Rhetoric. Both sides, no one is exempt. With regards to that, everyone sins, everyone lapses.

And at the end of the day, with the levels of hostility and trite that has adorned itself to the ideologies- including the ways people attempt to homogenize and personify said ideologies, there's nothing to gain from even mentioning the word "politics" to the average person. It's not what they know; it's what they've been sold, and they often use it to build their own little world narrative. Their own personal belief system, where everything they believe is wholly right, incorrigible, and without fault. They cannot reconcile, will not concede, not even to the slightest hint of reason devoid of any true malicious intent.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm about done using politics as small talk. I'm tired of people shutting down and chimping out, of making themselves the fool. I don't want to live in a world where people forfeit the fruits of labors past, for the most absurd of reasons.

There's nothing more to be said to the average individual. Goodness willing someone who can take you at your word, and see you as a man after it. Thank goodness for all of this, because this is a learning by example kind of scenario you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. This, we all get to live, not just imitate.

What's my argument for him? Well while I don't like him, I've read into in off and on for at least the past fifteen years. It would be outside his character to do what you're saying. He gets off starting chaotic new businesses(which often fail, such is entreprenuership), and "dealing"(talking his dumb ass off) and sitting on gaudy furnature(think gold trim).

I remember when the city couldn't get their shit together enough to restore Central Park for the longest time. Their planning was awful, they couldn't agree on anything, nothing was being done. You remind me of an old friend. I often found him desperate to do the right thing - to show people the right way. People didn't want to listen, and instead of taking it as a sign, he used that to bolster his ego. They just weren't smart enough to see the truth.

The truth though, is that he was being a sensationalist while presenting little evidence. He was so used to being surrounded by the like minded, he was incapable of communicating properly with those of differing opinions, values and cultures.

But, you can hardly say that Trump was elected in order to rectify this. The Republicans did not issue this complaint during Obama's tenure, nor are they speaking out now. Because of the authoritarian "law+order" bent of the right wing, I would say that they have less respect for the constitution than the left does.

The tweet about wiretaps is a significant news story -- it is really a baffling allegation made with the typical lack of clarity and followup. For a normal administration, this would be a highly significant event. But, Trump wants us all to move on. He was just trying to 'rile people up' I guess. Unfortunately, this kind of nonsense is a bit more delicate when you are POTUS. You can't just allege that the UK was secretly tapping Trump at the personal request of Obama. That's a bigger deal than just making up shit about inauguration attendance.

But there is no shortage of stuff to write about Trump. It's a field day for journalists. This is what would happen if you elected a totally unqualified person to be president. It's nothing personal against Trump. He just happens to be a dumbass.
