>I'm a hacker

Heres a little computer I made using a raspberry pi and an old phone to crack wifi passwords.

It offers WEP decryption and it can bruteforce WPA APs. It can also use a neat social engineering trick to fool wifi users into giving it their passwords.
>>
>>725635347
Learn the OSI model, network design, and networking. Then learn about protocols. Then learn operating systems. After that you can learn exploits.
>>
>>725635865
cool work!
>>
>>725635865
btw its battery powered and it hold up together very well.
I can use it with one hand using the touch screen on the phone and hold it with the other.

Its very portable for what it does but its a pain to actually transport cause i have to disassemble and rebuild it everytime
>>
>>725635865
WPS maybe, but you're not bruteforcing WPA/AES, possibly rainbow table TKIP...
>>
>>725636327
With a handshake you can bruteforce as much as you want
>>
>>725636400
The odds of your setup successfully bruteforcing WPA is 0.
>>
>>725632609
OP here. Most of the question were like "how to I become a hacker". Usually such questions are answers with "fuck you kiddo". But today, I try to answer the question seriously. So, listen up:

===Phase 0===
1. Learn fluent English if your English is bad (still working on this step)
2. Install a linux distribution an your computer (for example ubuntu)
===Phase 1===
3. Get familiar with the unix command line
4. Learn a programming language of your choice. (maybe java and/or pythin)
5. Get familiar with a little bit of web development (html, java script etc.)
===Phase 2===
5. Get a basic understanding about higher maths, statistics and cryptography
6. Get a basic knowledge about networking and the OSI Model
===Phase 3===
7. Experiment with tools in kali linux
8. Find people (online or in rl) that have serious interest in hacking. You should find them for example within the linux community or at you university.
===Phase 4-100===
Now, you are ready to decide on your own where and how to continue
>>
>>725636635
Yeah probably lol
I'm using it more for the social engineering part of things hahaha

No way in hell this can be fast enough to reliably brute force anything else than maybe WPS or some routers that have specifications when it comes to the default key.
>>
>>725636832
>not mentionning burp suite
>>
>>725636832

And step 0: learn how to count

How does a person actually learn how to hack? I want to just download scripts online. Please, can you give me a general direction to go in to learn how to hack by myself?
>>
>>725637473
OP could tell you all about scripts.
>>
>>725637225
I personally dialup ipsec into my home network and nat out from there when one public wifi networks. But if you mean VPN for being anonymous on the internet, it's quite worthless. Unless you're doing illegal shit and you've setup your own VPN endpoints scattered around the webz. Paying for a VPN is dumb.
>>
>>725632609
What OS is that? Seems familiar, but I can't tell because those aren't the default icons. I've tried quite a few, though that could be some new one. Currently running cyborg hawk, though I was thinking of installing that one arch OS that has a shit tonne of tools.
Anyways, second and last question, are there any really good tutorial, and hacking tools for python? not just general usage of it, I understand it well.
Anyways, here is one list of python tools that's nice, but I need more. I can use the deepweb as well, so if that's where I'd need to find good stuff for python, I would be glad to go there.
it's on github at /dloss/python-pentest-tools
Last question, I was wanting to make a very custom RAT in python, to where even the main client is made by me, is there a good software besides PyQT for it, or is that my only choice? I still need the command line of course, but there are a few buttons I'd like for quickly doing things.
Sorry for all the sloppy questions, I haven't been getting alot of sleep lately, so I've lost my normal coherency.

Lastly, why the *fuck* are there no good hex editors for Ubuntu? maybe I missed something, but all I found was something memsomthing which was shit, and game conqurerer, which was even worse. Any good ones out there, anon? I can't do certain things like malware exe analysis with those two things. Or hack what little vidya there is on ubuntu, kek

>>
>>725637830
I could be wrong on this, as I am not OP, however, I do know that using the full google translate for webpages mostly works for that kinda stuff, or find proxy urls for it.
>>725638156
He's a student still, of course he isn't going full Mr Robot. Anyways, I have a question for anyone in the IT world; are you going to use Vault 7's leak to develop some malware/tools to stop the CIA's stuff? there'd be alot of money in it, ether way, if you could do that. I doubt anyone in the thread would be able to do too much with the info, but just curious.
>>
>>725638305
Oh nice tell us all about the AI you created.
>>
>>725632936
Not OP but parents work for tech companies that delves into these things. Yes. It's still a niche corner atm but many incoming top uni grads are all into this shit. We humans are historically "lazy" in the efficient way, and this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. It's funny how machine learning will take over many intec. jobs within the next 25 years and these trump voters still think china is the problem XD
>>
>>725638727
government backdoors are on die. You'll never get rid of it.
>>
>>725638450
I spent years on windows, so I had cheat engine and some custom tools I had built, in Lua and a bit of python. I won't take that as an insult, instead I ask you please elaborate. Besides malware analysis and such, I'd also like a hex editor, so I can edit a few games I play on some emulators.
>>
>>725639164
man xxd
>>
>>725638991
It was nothing special, just a companion esq tool that could auto fetch urls by keywords, had custom filtering, admin/moderator tools for a chat site I used to use, that I ran via python command line. I'm looking to build a much more complex AI though, and I need to find more libaries, tutorials for hacking, etc with it, as it's goal is to be a unique set of tools, mostly made by myself.
I was also thinking of using python, and a few libraries to create a different kind of game hacking tool, than what's standard.
Lastly, I have one AI project I think would make a disgusting amount of cash, I just need a few people to work on it with, and atleast one spare computer/device to start it out on.
>>
>>725639766
oh wow eggdrop... lol
>>
>>725639766
when you say AI, I think you mean "script" or maybe "program".
>>
>>725639345
Kek, not even mad. Most of my actual work had to deal with networking, networking admining, managing and updating mysql and all that, not malware analysis and such, so I won't be offended by that. I would really like it though, if you were to elaborate on how those two could be useful. I can see vim would be fine as a static file viewer, but I need something more dynamic, hence why I mentioned cheat engine.

No, this was completely programmed from scratch, while in windows, in python, with no added in libraries and was not an IRC based chat service, this was a bit more complex. :)
If it were a mere chatbot in IRC, I would have stated as such.
>>725639988
I can see why you'd think that, but no, there was AI elements to it, it could learn a bit from speech and everything. It could also talk and interact with the chatters in the room, and it also could learn a bit for word choice, using previous conversations, and some contextal things, etc. It's been a while though, so It's hard to remember all the little things about it. It took quite a few scripts to run though, but I can see how it could have been done in fewer scripts, if it were as simple as I mentioned above.

I was pretty surpised about some of the info, most of it is Snowden era knowledge (everything has backdoors) but how DEVLAN works I found really interesting, and I suggest everyone still in here check it out, *if* they are running linux.

Private Gov contracts, if US based, and job satisfaction requires two things
-you are passionate about what you do
-what do you find passion in
for example, a retard could have 101% satisfaction stapling papers together all day, and using the shredder. Some may find satisfaction in working as IT for a highschool/college where not much needs to be done. Just because one of us may find programming in assembly to get us fully hard, it might be completely boring. I'd sooner suggest reading into different basic it jobs, see what sounds the most interesting, and go from there... but anyways, most advanced IT work pays extremely well, depending on your country of origin.
Can anyone answer
>>725645525 please? I am using Cyborg hawk and can easily liveboot into any distro needed for this, and I also know I have enough hard drive room/power to do so quickly, on the laptop I am using. >>
>>725646733

That's true, I admit the job satisfaction thing was a bit too open ended

To be more specific, I saw all of the different types of career paths - Penetration Tester, Incident Responder, Network Security Engineer, etc. and wondered which ones seem the most interesting (in the sense of getting to problem solve, getting out of the office - pretty much avoiding daily repetition)

So how would one go about protecting router from any such occurence?

Servers where u can upload/remote upload files & files from urls either ftp or https with ssh capabilities
>>
>>725638727
Don't follow the infosec world as closely as I used to, but most of it has probably been patched by now and if not, it will be pretty soon. I'm sure all the major exploit kits will include exploits for any of the more widespread vulnerabilities eventually, but by the time they get into circulation even 15% success rates are considered high.
>>
>>725653267
the first would be updating the "firmware" for it, I would recommend that right away, and do NOT use a cisco router, those have shit security.
Also, most of that you could buy a crummy laptop or smartphone, and run a server off it and do it yourself, you can even admin it from your main computer, XAMPP for windows, and as for linux, LAMP or find tutorials for setting it up. It should be alot more easy than it sounds, honestly.

these are brand new and some are very lowleveled, trust me, I was thinking the same thing anon, in terms of patches, but some of it is too deep for a simple fix, and some of it won't be fixed. Anyways, last post, take care anons. I've been in the thread for a long time, and kept it alive long enough.

I already have pentested it, it's full of security holes and is honestly an IT nightmare. They can't hire me as a web dev as they don't have the budget, so I was wanting to this as a little hobby project.
What I need to do, is rip the entire site, copy it, so I can edit it, fix it, etc. I am beyond the pentesting stage, and because they need the site running 24/7, I need to rip it, fix it on my end, then give them the fixed version. I just need a software, tool, os, whatever, to do it. I have a spare laptop that I am currently using cyborghawk linux on.
