Don't get into a place where you'll get ganged on, throw your body into teh punch, don't go too far where somebody dodges and starts kicking the shit out of you to where you trip up and fall. Practice how to punch beforehand, having some knowledge of how you'll hit somebody helps, always try and go for face bro, even if the punch isn't a haymaker, just small punches to the nose helps. Like take your fist, and lightly hit yourself in the face right now. Now imagine doing that a little harder, and you can see how you'll tap somebody in the face and how it'll feel.

In all honesty OP experience is the best teacher. I got fucked up and jumped in my first fight. No such thing as being fair in a street fight too. I wouldn't say bring a weapon, but bring a weapon. Just don't go in with it at first.

Simple rules:
- The only fair fight is the fight you win, anything around you that isn't nailed down is a weapon, use it.

Fight dirty:
- A cupped handslap on the ear, can disorient someone
- Eye gouges are your friend, it's hard to hit what you cannot see
- If they have long hair, make them regret it.
- You elbows and forearms will tend to do more damage than your fists.
- Your instinct will be to hit the face, but the ribs, solar plexus and sternum are all your better option for hits.
- If they leave their throat open to hits, hit it.
- Don't be afraid to bite.
- Fights will not stay with upright, they will end up a grappling match on the ground quickly. Once on the ground your elbows and forearms are your friends.
- Consider the fact that in a fight you can die. Fight like your life depends on it.

- If they have a weapon attempt to disarm them or acquire your own weapon.

- If they have a gun, you are PROBABLY fucked unless everyone goes after the 1 guy with a gun all at once.

- If more than one guy has a gun; you're boned; run like hell and consider tripping someone you aren't friends with.

Bare Knuckle - Take your time at first, lot of people will go balls to the wall and gas out in 30 sec leaving easy targets. Look up how jabs work. Jab with your non-dominant hand to stun them a bit, wear them down and eventually setup your heavy shot. Every time they throw, keep your hands up to defend and back up. As soon as they overextend (face/upperbody waaaay passed the feet), this is when you go absolutely nuts and swarm with overwhelming violence. Throw your heavy punches, dont be afraid to knee/elbow. but if you dont know what you're doing, dont just go in - you will probably get knocked out more easily. Let them make the mistake, then swarm. Also, look up some basic videos on how to throw punches and use a guard.

I have been in a lot of fights over the years and have done some minor jail time on assaults. You might get in more trouble using a weapon, but if its got some mafia relation, chances are these thugs aren't going to the cops for an assault. here is the advice i can give you:

1. Always carry a weapon on you. guys you fight are always going to play dirty, especially if they are losing the fight. keep a knife, a gun or some other tool like a screwdriver. especially in these big fights (like the 15v15 you are ognna be involved in) some of those guys are going to be packing weapons, especially if they are hired goons for the mafia.

2. Fight dirty if you got to. If you and your attacker are on the ground and he is trying to pin you, try to drive your thumb into an eye socket.

3. Be aware of you surrounding. yeah keep focus on your main attacker, but one of these other thugs could blindside you whenever at any moment, if you can, keep your back to a wall or fence.

4. use your surroundings. if you're at a bar, hit the guy with a stool, if you're in a park, nail him with a rock you pick up. look after your own life and worry about the consequences later.

6. If you got nothing but your fists. always go for the head. try to get him in the nose and the temple as much as you can. however, if you get to use your elbow or knees, give him shots in the sternum.

I train military combatives for six years now. My advice if you still want to go:
1. Don't listen to these faggots here who claim that kicking is a good tool. It only works in the ring, outside it's total nonsense and kills to much time
2. If its going to be tough, take a knife with you
3. try to stay out of combat and let your lads rush in first before you join in.
4. Don't let the fight happen somewhere, you have never been to before. If necessary, check out the place on google maps and look for alterntive ways to escape

Basically this. The best thing for you is to find a way out of this. Try to talk your friend down, fake sick, drink vodka until you pass out, whatever it takes. A melee like this will be completely unpredictable and with this many people its a safe bet that some asshole will bring a knife or a gun. Just don't do it.

If you can't or won't get out of it, my advice:

1) Stay on the outside, don't let anyone get behind you
2) Keep your attention on the hands of the people closest to you, specifically to look for weapons. You'd never do this in a 1-on-1, but in a group street fight the most important thing is being aware if someone pulls a knife or a gun, and then getting the fuck out of there if they do.

Alco pro: You get brave and sufficiently drunk you you really don't feel pain during the fight, and the blood alchohol level will protect you against aneurisms wich is I understand is the greatest danger in most honorable fights. (But with a knife the same effect will make you bleed out faster...)

On the negative, it will make you a lot slower. Drink a little I would recomend. Remember that with adrenaline pumping the alcohol in your system will enter a lot faster and thus can slam you harder than a fist sometimes if drunk.

As for weapons and such I use leather armbands (you will/must block knives with your wrists) and a short hammer and a knife. But I've never drawn the knife in a fight - the hammer is nonlethal unless you aim to kill or are unlucky - and is usually treated as such by the law.

OP just anonymously tip off the cops. It means you and your friend won't be harmed that way. Someone could get killed there. Maybe after a little cooling off no one will want to fight.
